I think the biggest mistake we made, was not getting a guide. But that's what we did. I wouldn't say it was overwhelmingly amazing place but it was a lovely day. A nice hike. The hanging bridges are cool and a little terrifying. Lol And...More

Really enjoyable couple of hours ‘trekking’ through the rain forest and hanging bridges. We went with a guide which was well worth it otherwise we would have missed lots and understood little of the environment and history of the place. A word about the hanging...More

Went on a slightly rainy afternoon in November. This was ok as rain couldn’t get past the lush forest canopy. A nice easy hike through the forest and across exciting hanging bridges. Loved the high bridge with the wonderful view! Saw a few howler monkeys,...More

We had a great time here. Although getting a guide was recommended to us, we did the self guided tour. We did see a few bats and a snake, but I’m sure we would have seen more with a guide. Its probably a few miles...More

MUST HAVE A GUIDE! Although you can do a self guided tour you will little or nothing, mostly just a nice walk in the rain. However, your Guido will open up a whole world of symbiotic natural and locate plants and animals you would walk...More

We did not know what we were in for. We thought it was zip lining! But it was so much more. It was zip lining, repelling, AND conquering my fears of jumping into rapid, rushing water. I LOVED the zip ling, and repelling. I was...More

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of our hike through this rainforest. We encountered several colorful birds, coati, bats and insects along the way. The walks across the bridges allowed us up front, breathtaking views of the Rainforest.

Me being a little nervous of heights, I was hesitant to tackle this tour. However, so glad I did! We did a self guided walk which took about 3 hours. The views were amazing and the energy of the rainforest was absolutely incredible. Highly suggest...More

Having visited Costa Rica once before and having a rather adventurous family, we decided to go beyond the usual zipline tours and try a deeper dive (or in this case, “jump”) into the eco-system near Arenal. The Spider Monkey Canyoneering tour at Mistico Bridges was...More

Hi, We went on our own. Aside from the drive we were able to get on a last minute tour when we arrived. I'd suggest you make a reservation with the park and use one of their official tourguides. Enjoy! Ellen
