Expensive 15$ entrance fee just to walk around. Is nice and all green but I think is a overrated. I wouldn't recommend.

We took a cab from our hotel near La Fortuna to hike around. We were pleasantly surprised by this park. The paths were well marked and there was a variety of different plant and bird species. We hiked for approximately 5 hours. There were many...More

Much better than the National Park where so many people visit. We started there and only one other car was in the parking lot. It looked like we had all trails to ourselves! It was amazing. It was 8$ per person and no parking fees....More

For a minor fee you can drive all the way to the top of a trail. Then climb a very hard trail to the top, I struggled both up and down. But the view is magnificent.

I spent a nice afternoon hiking in this part of the National Park. It's privately owned and has a very nominal entrance fee. The trails are great! Well marked and they give you a map to follow as well. It goes deep into the rain...More

The other parks around Arenal close shockingly early - this is the only one we found still open til 6 so we could squeeze in the whole hike by sunset, which was stunning. Would be great if it was open an hour after so you...More

This was an amazing trip! First: "low cost" at least for Costa Rica. The trails are great if you love nature. These trails are not nicely paved, they are nature pure! You barley see other people. It's so quite and just nature. Make sure to...More
