So glad we did this tour with Edgar adventures. These go way back before inca time. The view is also amazing.

I expected yet more ruins, but the setting of these unusual ruins, the lake, the people living all around with tons of llamas of all colors. And we stopped to meet a family. Our guide was fabulous, patient, didn't force people much, I wasn't with...More

This site is larger than we expected and there is a small "town" of handicraft stalls, bathrooms and snacks at the entrance. The trail is laid out well and moves you through the timeline of burial construction techniques very well. We spent more time here...More

My favorite place in Puno. As it is the burial ground with Chullpa ( tower), whenever I visit, I feel calm, peaceful, serene nature surrounding this place with beautiful lake. Must go place and take time to meditate and feel sacredness of this place.

Sillustani is located around 1 hour from Puno city, you must to take a private cab or private tour to visit the place, it is really good option if you have a free morning or afternoon.

Interesting view of the various Inca cultures that buried they dead in above ground tombs. Nice walk around the various tombs. Make sure you have something to help with the altitude (believe it was approximately 4000 meters). Some of our party were very lightheaded. Lots...More

If you have a free half day in Puno, I would recommend a visit to Sillustani burial towers. Lovely spot with views of lake. Pre-Incan funeral towers in various states of ruin.
