I was disappointed with Tiberias. I was hoping for more historical areas but I found the town crowded, dirty, not at all what I was hoping for.

You would think if you were in Israel that things would clean up. But no so with Tiberias . Dirty with trash along the streets and vacant lots. The walking/shopping area is poorly maintained and filthy. Shops are for the most part poorly kept and...More

Very old and unmaintained city. Half of the restaurants on the broadwalk are cloased. Smell of pee everywhere

Where to start - the city is extremely difficult to walk through, in the heat its just a torture, no shadow at all, the "promenade" is just insulting, it looks and sounds more like Magaluf than anything else (e.g. the church of st. Peter, one...More

Unfortunately you see piles of garbage and discarded items that you never used to see, It is unclear who is responsible and where the local garbage is,I can imagine this mus be hurting local tourism and businesses. SHouldnt the Mayor be doing something about this>

The town is small with shops and eateries. You can see ruins and old buildings. There is a board walk and Sea of Galilee boat trips can be taken from here. There is a public beach area too.

The lake shore is tacky - full of cheap nasty seaside stuff, ruining the view onto the lake. There are lots of old buildings which, if restored, would be beautiful, but many are abandoned. The town is dirty. I heard the new mayor is trying...More

This is a quaint, but very busy city. We enjoyed walking and sight seeing. We could see the Sea of Galilee from our hotel room. The area was busy most of the time.

There is not much to see here for tourists. The city itself is a little run down and filled with traffic. We found two sights that were somewhat interesting: ruins of a 12th century Crusader fortress (inside not open) and an abandoned mosque called the...More

We stayed at the Leonardo Plaza. There is no self serve laundry but the hotel has laundry service available. They did a great job and the price was reasonable. You deliver your bag of clothes to the front desk in the morning... More
