Quick regular services. Probably avoid at rush hour though. Much cheaper than taxis. Dubai Mall stop has an air conditioned walkway from the station to the mall.

The best way to travel from Abu Dhabi to Dubai by taking bus to Bin Batuta and connecting to Dubai by Metro. No traffic. Fast clean and people are helpful. The stations are well manned and the convenient stores are good.

I believe metro have become life line of almost every city in the world. Same is the experience @ Dubai. If you are on holidays with family you should avoid metro on peak hours as it become sure busy.

I was very impressed with the Dubai Metro. It was very accessible and it was a cheap way to go around the city. It was a little slow though and I don’t recommend it during rush hour. But I love using it when in Dubai.
