We took a boat trip from the Gamboa Resort, We went to Monkey Island and managed to see some howler monkeys. It was lovely and I highly recommend it.

We explored the fringes of Gatun Lake in a small boat as we looked for birds with a tour from Canopy Tower. The tour was all we hoped it to be. We had close up sightings of many species in relatively secluded conditions.

It is a lovely area. Got up exceedingly early (for a vacation) to appreciate the sights, and sounds of Gatun Lake, Panama City, Panama. Very interesting; a real educational experience!

The size and history of the lake is great, what you see is ok and worth a visit. nice lights in morning and evening but there are other lakes with more charme.
