Ajloun is known for its forests all around. The drive to Ajloun adds to the trip. The castle is well preserved, making it a worth-while stop. Park at the office and buy your tickets before driving to the castle, or walk to the top.

Definitely worth a visit to this strategically positioned castle with great views of the surrounding countryside. The Jordan Pass will get you entry, but there were far too many tourists the day we visited....which made it difficult to move around....just be careful of the slippery...More
