Take note of the very old olive trees in the garden before going into the church. The church is absolutely beautiful on the outside as well as in inside. Very crowded. There is a priest on hand to take confessions if that flows with your...More
This was an amazing and spiritual place where Jesus prayed before He was arrrested and cruicifed for you and me to take away our sin and conquer death. The place brings the Bible to life when you read about the places Jsus was.
The Garden of Gethsemane has a fence around it so you can't touch the trees, but it is still nice to see trees that old. One is thought to be the oldest tree in the world. Some people think it is the Tree of Life,...More

After years of hearing the readings and Gospel at church...to actually visit the garden and see the rock where Jesus prayed was incredible! We entered as part of a tour group, so I cannot comment on the tours offered at the location itself. The garden...More

if you plan to visit Jerusalem all you need is a map! All things are close, for example from lions gate to ghetsimani garden you need to walk less than 10 minutes. i also recommend to use public transport because us very cheap, they have a card and you need to fill it with a daily pass wich is around 13 shekels aprox 4 dolars and you can change bus and trams with this. When you buy something from old city, negotiate first! The prices can decrease in some cases with 40%😉

I visited the Garden of gethsemane with a daily tour - 8 hours walking from the Mount of olives, along all the holly places, along Via dolorosa, time off for lunch in a nice armenian restaurant and the tour end at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. I did this walk with The Bain Harim Tourism - highly recommende. Enjoy your stay in Jeruzalem.
