We hung out at the eastern side of Hanalei Bay this time, by where the Waipa Stream flows into the bay...fresh water meets salt water. Not crowded, easy to find parking and a gorgeous sandy beach.

Overlooked Hanalei Bay from The Princeville Resort. Absolutely beautiful!! Definitely recommend taking the trip to enjoy the Scenery. One of the best in the world!

Wonderful scenic Hanalei Bay with the pier and all the surrounding scenery. Can never tire of the views any time of the day. The area has recovered nicely from the flooding of April 2018.

Spent the last afternoon of our week-long visit here, and it was heavenly. There are more secluded beaches on the island, but at this point in our trip, we were looking for easy access and showers. Surf was a little rough, so we only waded...More

Large and relaxing beach. This is not a beach for snorkeling or swimming during the summer months. There were a few surfers out when we went, which are always fun to watch! There's a lifeguard on duty, who is quick to help those that need...More

Nice beach to hang out at. Loved that it was in a bay so the waves weren’t big. Didn’t see a lifeguard. Liked that people could do stand up paddle boarding and that there was a long shallow shelf of sand. Kids enjoyed. Beach itself...More

Hanalei Bay is a perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the view of the Hanalei mountains. It is very calm and not too crowded. Plus, the sunset is great from here. However, unlike many other beaches in Princeville, there are barely any signs of wildlife...More

Not much of a beach to surf at, very shallow waves that crash on the beach in some places. The best part of the absolutely stunning scenery from the end of the Jetty. You can jump off the jetty into the beautiful clear water... More
