Had a great time at the ruins, the view at the top is unreal! Saw a ton of howler monkeys and experienced a very loud communication display between them. Overall, I would highly recommend stopping here there’s nothing like it!
Really enjoyed wandering around these ruins! The little hand cranked ferry across is a nice start, and then a peaceful set of impressive ruins! Probably takes about an hour to see...and only 10mins outside of San Ignacio.
Very much worth the 2 hour drive from Belize City. The ruins are magnificent. There are guides waiting at the ferry if you want or you can tour the ruins on your own. Ample parking is available.
I loved this site. you can climb the main building to the top if not raining and you get an amazing 360 view including into Guatemala the climb is quite steep and not great if you suffer with heights you need to cross the river and take a small shuttle bus to the ruins
