While I was in DC I enjoyed a daily job of the mall. So amazing and beautiful. It’s a great way to decide what museum you’ll visit today.

My husband and I took our 3 year old, 1year old, and 13 week old children to the national mall for the day. It was fun. My girls really enjoyed a ride in the the national carousel. They only take cash and it’s $3.50 each...More

This whole area is just a really cool place to visit. Monuments are all easy to get to with lots of parking and the space is so clean. Easy to walk around and just a must do once in your lifetime.

I would suggest use the Big Bus Tours to hop on and off at different stops, consider bike or scooter rentals and do some walking. Give yourself at least an hour per attraction and 2 for museums.

Put a day or two aside and spend some time at the National Mall. Museums are for free and they are worth visiting. Staff around the area are fantastic and the experience will be unforgettable.

Overall was a good visit. A lack of nearby toilet facilities was noticed as well as we saw lots of litter in the area. There are multitudes of visitors and I guess some chose to dispose of their personal trash as they please.

See a bit of everything here. Several monuments and memorials located around the mall, not to mention museums. Great starting point for a DC day visit.

Make sure to see the whole mall at night time and during the day. The sights look so much different at different times of the day. You will do a lot of walking, but it it well worth it. A must do in DC.

I recommend catching the red circulator bus $1 across the street from union station. It circles the entire mall making a loop from Union Station to the Lincoln Memorial and back with stops near all the museums. Nice clean... More

I did not see any vendors at the National Mall. Everything is within walking distance so I am sure there is some place nearby.
