The drive to Mount St Helens is great, Lots of windy roads to go round, the scenery is absolutely amazing. You can see for miles. This Volcano is one that erupted fairly recently, and you can see the damage it did. Washington State has some...More

We visited the volcanic Monument in late October. It was rainy and cold but once you see the monument, it is all worth it. We watched the 15 minute movie at the observation center which was very informative

We were excited to finally go, but were quickly disappointed because the clouds obstructed the mountain completely! The visitors center was entertaining for all ages and was clean. I would recommend calling ahead for visibility info or checking that online.

We didn’t get to see this since there were so many clouds. But the visitor centers names should be changed because our maps did not take us there. However the visitor center at silver lake was very nice!

This is a great stop if you are anywhere in the area. It is amazing that it has only been less than 40 years since this erupted. The views are great. Don’t forget to go in and pay. The money keeps the parks running.

Drive around to the east side and view from Windy Ridge. The hike from Johnston Ridge sounds more than you want to do.
