It’s tough but view is spectacular! I made a mistake that thought the 3rd peak has the best view and hike up directly, but turned out the 1st and 2nd peak have better view 🤣

Lots of trails in the area and some interesting rocks at the base of the mountain. Hike up is tough but well worth the views.

The first peak is the hardest physically by far but totally amazing, the second peak is the most technically difficult and the third peak is kinda confusing to the find the trail.

I know there's a lot of great hiking around the Squamish area with far fewer people on the trail, but if you're in Squamish it's an easily accessible hike and the payoff is well worth it. The first hour is rather brutal, but I'd suggest...More

This was a highly enjoyable hike my wife and I took in August 2019. We started early (before 9am) and we’re lucky to snag a parking spot. A lot of climbers were gearing up for their day. You have a 2-3 minute warm up walk...More

Haven't been to the chief in years so I thought I'd take my family there. The hike wasn't too bad, some terrains a little trickier but the biggest thing was there was A LOT of people so it's a very busy place. The view up...More

700 meters of elevation gain (mostly stairs, boulders, and ladders). Very fun scramble on sticky rock at the summit of First Peak. Incredible view of entire Suquamish area ... definitely worth the effort.

This is a difficult hike - lots of very steep stairs and then you have to use a metal chain to pull yourself up a rock face. We went to the first point and it took us an hour and a half on the way...More

Not sure how anyone would rate this hike poorly unless they are not reading any of the reviews and expecting an easy stroll in the park. We stopped by years ago on our way up the Sea to Sky Highway and after making up to...More

Before we did this hike, most everybody told us to do peak #2. And like everybody else that told us, this hike is not for beginners but certainly doable. The terrain was a little rough at time and steep for some part. You really need...More

This was my first time doing the chief but I now know that you have to do the hike in order to take in the view. There is no view from the parking lot area. Pack a lunch and hydration and plan to spend a couple hours to hike... More
