Emerald Lake is beautiful and a must see in Yoho National Park. The hike is an easy one around the lake and there is no need to rush. Take your time, bring a picnic, read a book. You'll thank me when your soul is refreshed...More

Lake was great and peaceful. Hotel was egregiously overpriced. We were unable to check in until an hour after check in. One restaurant at rhe lake and very subpar and expensive as well. The cabin we had had the view if the lake blocked by...More

This is an absolutely beautiful spot to take a walk or take a picture. There is a cafe, but beware, they are slow. The day we went they ran out of coffee after we spent 10 minutes on line.

been to lake louise and lake moraine, this was as beautiful if not more, but doesn't get as much love as the other two. Very nice blue lake, with a walking path around it. was great.

The pictures don't do justice to the beauty of this place. Great walking path around the lake. Nice little gift shop, you can rent canoes, and eat at the cafe or grab a coffee. More tranquil than Lake Louise and Moraine Lake.

Even in the rain and cold, very busy area. Lots of people, lots of cars. Recommend going early to beat the crowds.

How can I describe the beauty of this lake? This is a must not only in Canadian Rockies but also in Canada. Walking around & canoeing across the lake will make your trip more memorable.

This was our favourite lake when we visited the Rockies while on a road trip last month. We did not visit during the busy holiday season and managed to get the last parking spot at 9.30am. Visited on a warm and sunny day and the...More

Emerald Lake is absolutely gorgeous and a must see when in the Rockies - it is the only Lake you can completely walk around. The walk is gentle and the scenery stunning! Don’t miss it!

If you have been reading the reviews of the lakes in the Rockies you will have read that Lake Louise is unbelievably crowded and a nightmare to find parking or get to. So do yourself a favour and visit Emerald Lake instead. This lake is...More

The drive to Emerald Lake is pretty good, but the parking gets filled up quickly so you need to get there early. We were there around 8am and by the time we finished hiking around 2pm, the parking lot was a zoo with cars and... More
