What a nice beach! There are two food vendors/bars - one more of a sit-down with a covered patio, the other more informal but with beach service. Both had both good food and drinks, and they were reasonably priced. We rented an umbrella and 2...More
We go to Friar’s bay every time we go to St Martin, really a beautiful place with friendly people and a couple of nice places to grab a drink and take in the beauty or get a kayak, paddleboard, sailboat or just snorkel the bay.

A lot of sunbathers in spite of the wind and blowing sand. After eating lunch at Kaia's, we snorkeled along the rocks on the far right side of the Bay. Saw some interesting and colorful fish. Would return to this beach again as it is...More
The best beach in St. Maarten. Happy Bay Beach is nude and relaxing the best tan ever!!! You can walk the length of this beach and there is no obstruction. Nice restaurant at Friar's Bay. Local foods and beach seating
We stopped by here for a quick dip during an ATV tour of the island. Very refreshing. Beach was not crowded, water was beautiful, and the sand was clean and soft. Nice beach bar and restaurant located close by.

The water was mildly wavy to calm, very windy (but the entire island is windy), had a decent...More
One of our favorites. We loved the beach, not very crowded. The. Atmosphere is a very cool vibe. We had a delicious lunch and to die for Pina Colada’s. Service was the best and a most gracious owner. Highly recommend Friar’s Bay
