Even on a very overcast and sometimes rainy afternoon, the market was alive with fresh produce, friendly faces and live music 🎶. It sure added a sense of adventure as we explored the various kiosks and spoke with vendors. We bought our evening meal vegetables...More

The vendors were great. The quality of the produce was unbelievable and the different assortment were delightful. The various restaurants and bars made sure there was something for everyone. Parking is tight and expensive, but what city isn’t.

So nice to be there and check out the shops and restaurants. We had a drink in a pub and ate at Keg for a prime rib dinner.

It used to be a great place to work, but the market is definitely going downhill. The patrons keep getting sketchier and rent keeps going up. Sadly most of the clothing and speciality shops have left, now it’s mainly pubs and restaurants.

Byward is a wonderful marketplace with vegetable vendors, quaint shops to explore and numerous places to eat inside and out. The food was outstanding!
