While running the marathon this past weekend, we ran through Beacon Hill Park. There was a peacock walking around in the wild....even with 4000 runners going by.

Wow what an amazing find this place was. So many paths that take you through some amazing gardens and waterways. We spent hours just wondering around the totally free gardens.

Spent some time walking through the park, gorgeous trees and ponds. Loved seeing the peacocks roaming free and visiting the world's tallest totem pole. A great children's area too.

Beacon Hill Park is a must do when visiting Victoria. Located a short walk from the downtown area, the park is packed full of surprises. Arriving at the Beacon Hill lookout you are rewarded with views of the mountains in Olympic National Park in USA.
