Lots to see here. Slight drift but easily overcome if need be, there is plenty of coral species to see.

Love this reef because of the large schools of fish. Not a lot of current so you can enjoy the beauty at a slow pacd.

The reef was really nice great snorkeling. We purchased the buffet through the park. It was very meager. Chips and cheese and Pico, some pulled pork and mole chicken. Tortillas were dry and hard and impossible to make anything with. No sodas, only sugary drinks...More

I have snorkeled many times in many places. Cozumel has the second largest coral reef. The Great Barrier Reef in Austrailia is the largest. I was disappointed because there was very few colorful corals - all I saw was some light purple whispy fan-like corals....More

Nice area for snorkeling with kids; lots of fish and clear water close to the stairs to enter the water.

Many brain coral are being poisoned, apparently by an ingredient in suntan lotion! It's very sad to see these old and beautiful formations turning white. Divers pass the word to others!

As part of our week long dive adventure we dove Chankanaab Reef. The sea life is abundant and the reef is very healthy. One of many great drift dives off the coast of Cozumel.

After a brief but very thorough instruction by the dive masters, we walked over to the water, lowered ourselves in and enjoyed almost an hour diving.

We went to Chankanaab as a 'day trip' and the snorkel equipment was included in the entry fee.
