Palancar reef is outstanding. Great coral formations and a lot of fish. I hope they will protect the reef. We see some corsl degradation. Maybe too crowded with people who are not aware that coral is very fragile.

Of all the amazing dive sites on Cozumel, this is my favorite. The abundance of marine life, the beautiful coral. Well worth the extra time spent getting there by boat. Especially fantastic on a night time. I love hearing (and seeing) the splendid toad fish.

We took a snorkelling tour out of Cozumel to the nearby coral reefs. Palancar was by far the most impressive, both in Coral and marine wildlife. As the reef is relatively shallow we were able to enjoy it only by using snorkelling equipment.

Enjoyed stopping here, fabulous snorkeling and gorgeous water. Dzul-ha has more fish, but I’d still absolutely recommend it.

We dove at Palancar Reef and had a wonderful experience. There are plenty of marine animals that keep your viewing pleasure busy at all times.

I love diving this reef. The coral Formations are breath taking. The visibility is crystal clear and the water is so warm I don’t have to where a wetsuit. I highly recommend diving with Blue Magic Scuba. Their boat Captain Angel is the best and...More

You need a dive or snorkel guide. It is a short boat trip off the beach.

Snorkeling is pretty good in front of the hotel. No kids joined us on the snorkeling excursion so I'm not sure if there is an age requirement. There are a couple of beach/ water parks nearby....one of which, I believe, is... More
