What I loved about Taxco and Mexico City is that they are not very touristy. There is so much authenticity in the architecture, people and streets of this country. We visited the Zocalo of Taxco in the summer of 2009 and were shocked by its...More

Fun place to sit and watch the world go by. The plaza is well used by the locals...particularly enjoyed seeing mothers bring their children after school.

We loved walking around the zocalo in the evenings. We were there on a weekend and there was so much going on in the Santa Preista Square. There seemed to always be vendors selling their products and lots of benches to sit and people-watch if...More

We spend Saturday night enjoying all the festivities and vendors here. There was music, floats, and all sorts of fun. This is one of Mexico's most beautiful squares, especially on a weekend evening.

The main irritation of this plaza is that the collectives are constantly pulling around the streets creating traffic, and the vendors out number the people about 2 to one, and they are constantly asking for you to buy something even if you are mid-conversation, or...More
