The market is just that - a market - but it was still a nice stop in Coyoacan. I did end up buying a few Spanish books there since it was interesting, at least to me personally. Overall Coyacan was one of my favorite neighborhoods...More

Interesting market with lots of different products including fresh flowers, clothing and cheap souvenirs. There are various restaurants and food stalls that offer a variety of options. Worth the time for a visit.

On the way walking from Museo Frida Kahlo to historic village of Coyacaan is where this market is located. It is a local market with everything (just like other markets) and is lifely and crowded with locals and tourists. Great place to shop and to...More

I love visiting this market, and buying excellent products such as chiles, mole and fruits. I warmly recommend eating quesadillas at one of the markets's entrances.

Locals place mixed with tourists visiting the Museo Frida Kahlo a couple of blocks north. Looks small and tacky from the outside, but dive into the interior and take your time to find the food, drinks and souvenirs you want. Way less hassle than in...More

A couple of blocks from Frieda Kahlo’s house this is a great market that is not too touristy. Plenty of options to buy; lots of interesting food stalls and a nice area to browse. Vendors were friendly and didn’t object to engaging or photos. A...More

The shopping is excellent. The market has a wide range of vendors and wares. I was able to haggle for a brilliant scarf, for small handpainted animal figurines, and more while I was there, both inside and on the outer edges. Then I headed to...More

Once you step into Coyoacán (“Land of the Coyotes”)
you'll find picturesque parks and cantinas that will

seeked refuge and inspiration in this area, and you
can see the unique spirit of this neighborhood
reflected in its colorful market where nieves, sopes
