The taxi drivers all bring you to Carambola beach club, where you can rent chairs and umbrellas for about USD 10 apiece. It's already a narrow strip of beach, what with renovations going on both sides (a huge platform going up on one and pipes...More

This may be the best beach on the island but it does not come close to the beaches on St. Martin, St.John, Anguilla or many of the other islands we've been on. As mentioned below the sand is not very wide, maybe 10-15 ft and...More

South Friars Beach is the best known beach on St. Kitts. It has wonderful sand, facilities, near restaurants, and things to do.

Beach is relatively tight against the water, but we really enjoyed our time at south friars. Plenty of chairs/covering, right next to a bunch of restaurants/bars and a reef right off the coast where you can snorkel: saw some really cool fish and a sea...More

Near the end of our tour we stopped at Friars Beach. Unfortunately, it started to rain as we arrived. Beach is quite narrow especially at the south end. There is a swimming platform anchored about 25 yards from shore and the water is appealing.

The beach had both medium waves for the more experienced swimmers and a perfectly calm, crystal clear cove for snorkeling. Chaise lounge and umbrella rentals are available. The bar and restaurant are amazing and reasonably priced. There is a separate children's menu that caters to...More

Finished off here at the end of a tour. Very narrow volcanic sand beach with free beds and shades. Snorkelling was ok but beware of sea urchins. Nice bar and restaurant, changing facilities and WC. Monkeys on back of beach are entertaining!

Depends on how much driving you plan to do. We were on a cruise stop and only travelled from the port to South Friars and back by taxi. A car rental didn't make sense for us.
