So many amazing and interesting murals in this area. We especially loved three o'clock romance, it is not to be missed.

Although this neighborhood is booming, I still think there is a lot to improve. I didn't feel 100% safe while walking around alone, so I suggest you hire a local guide to be on the safe side. It is the Jewish quarter where you can...More

Flanking the Maritime Museum (on the other side of a walking bridge over the Waaigat) near St Anna Bay are houses that are centuries old, such as the impressive “Maria” house. This old Jewish Quarter extends from here in Scharloo North to the Yotin Korta...More

Walking down the streets and looking at the colored buildings and taking in the architectural detail... wow. If it wasn't for the heat we could have walked a lot longer. We picked out a favorite.

This was a stop on our tour with Peter Trips. Most of the houses now belong to the government or banks, but they are gorgeous and well maintained. There are some fantastic murals in the neighborhood as well. Great sight to see in Curaçao.

This is my favorite part of Willemstad. I've very much enjoyed a walk here within the calm streets and street art bursting unexpectedly. No surprise it is home to many beautiful colonial mansions, home to several embassies. Don't miss the 3O'Clock Romance mural (romance tale...More

This used to be the rich Jewish quarter where you can see beautiful colonial mansions. Some are in restored and in use, others are abandoned. If you like to take nice photographs, this quarter is the paradise.

The quarter used to be a luxury neighborhood with mansions that are astonishing. Some are abandoned, some are restored, but this quarter is definitely worth a visit. I would suggest hiring someone to explain you about the history of the place. Really nice.

A walk in Scharloo is a must on a trip to Curacao. The Maritime Museum is there as well as some architecturally interesting buildings.

I was staying at the Ritz Village which is the restoration of the Ritz Ice Cream Factory. Along that street are many restored mansions of all different colors which are now law and administrative offices. It can be a bit dicey walking around and sidewalks...More
