Our first stop was here to get information. The park rangers were very helpful and gave us a better idea of how to spend our time to get the best one day in Death Valley. Highly helpful and very highly recommended!

We started our Death Valley National Park tour here. There is a lot in the centre, including food and drink! The staff were informative and there’s are loads of maps and staff on hand to help you plan your route around Death Valley.

Nice break from the heat. If you are lucky you can park in the shade too. 120 F outside. Massively cooler inside. Small snacks and small shop area. Have to show your park pass to get a map. Toilets on site too.

If you are crazy enough to drive through Death Valley NP, be sure to stop here for a map and a photo near the temperature gauge.

It was open a month ago, when we were there. Our tour guide did not mention anything about the center being (or to be) closed.
