Often overlooked due to the proximity to much larger Canyonlands and Arches NP, we found Dead Horse State Park to have the best view of all and best access to that view, which is great for us older folks. In fact without knowing in advance,...More

Dead Horse Point can easily be overlooked as you plan your vacation trip; strong suggestion that you do not do that. Very well worth your time to pack a meal, gather up hats, sunglasses, WATER, sun screen and make it out to Dead Horse Point...More

This is not a National Park but a really spectacular view of the canyon. A bit of a drive out but well worth it!

Travelling with Travel Dream West tours we picnicked at the most amazing beauty spots and this was one. A barren landscape with the river meandering through sheer cliffs......savage natural wonder.......drop toilet......take. Water and hand wipes.

This is worth a stop if you are visiting Island in the Sky. A bit steep on the entry fee ($20). Sweeping views. We arrived late afternoon so we only go to see the overlooks. Would have liked more time here.

This is a beautiful park - it is just as, if not more pretty, than Canyonlands down the road. Plus it's more compact and approachable. Beware that it's sun-exposed with little shade on the hiking trails, so it will be much more pleasant early and...More
