          Room with a view!
This is a great way to get between Hanoi and Sa Pa. View the scenery from your own recliner cabin rather than taking the night train. -Note Harder to get in and out of seats if you are very tall or have mobility issues. Trip can be a bit rough if you are seated directly above wheels. Takes about 6 hours each way. Ran on time each way. All staff very helpful and efficient - especially Daisy! Thanks!

          No sleep sleeper bus
We took the sleeper bus. It might have been ok except we had the back cabins over the noisy engine. It was an experience but we didn't sleep a wink!

We booked and paid for a tour to the Ban Guoc Waterfalls in December 2024 for our trip in March 2025. Two weeks before we were supposed to go on the tour, the company contacted us to say they didn’t have enough people to complete the tour group and said we could go on a “private tour” for $130 each (2 of us). This seemed unreasonable and we asked for a refund. We were told that we needed to “cancel” our reservation through Trip Advisor in order for them to process the refund. It wasn’t until we threatened to report them to AMEX that they agreed to issue the refund. We were stuck trying to find a new tour company at an increased cost due to our now untimely booking. The bottom line is they lured us in with a low price only to jack it up when the time got close.

          Worthwhile tour
Great tour of interesting places. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about both of the sites that we visited. The included lunch was different and excellent.

Great to see Vientiane at night, the sight sounds and aromas gave it a completely different experience. Visiting the local markets with so many options to sample street food was excellent Nong, our guide was really informative and engaging and made the whole experience very memorable

          Unique temple inside the mountain
Marble Mountain in Da Nang is absolutely worth a visit! We rode there by motorbike, which made the trip even more exciting. The entrance fee is low, and there are plenty of shops around the area. Once inside, we were amazed by the incredible caves and beautiful temples hidden within the mountain. The viewpoint at the top offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings. A truly unique and unforgettable experience!

          Definitely see
Very nice place to visit, and definitely a must see when in Da Nang. Good price, only one complaint and that’s there are next to no toilets on top. Bring good walking shoes as there is a lot of walking on uneven surfaces.

A Magical Experience at Bà Nà Hills
My mom and I had an unforgettable experience visiting Bà Nà Hills with our guide, Tom. From the moment we arrived, we were mesmerized by the breathtaking scenery, the stunning architecture, and the magical atmosphere of the place. The Golden Bridge was an absolute highlight, offering surreal views despite the misty weather and over crowded tourist. While we wish the skies had been clearer, the dreamy fog only added to the charm in its own way. The entire tour was well-organized, and Tom was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable. We also loved exploring the French Village, taking in the stunning landscapes, and enjoying the cable car ride, which was an adventure in itself! Another highlight of our visit was the incredible international buffet. The variety of food options was simply amazing, we were spoiled for choice at lunch! Overall, Bà Nà Hills is a must-visit destination, and we truly appreciate the excellent service from the tour team. Thank you for an amazing trip! Tips: Make sure to check the weather forecast, carry umbrella or rain coats accordingly. I Spent 50k VTD on 1 rain coat today.

I did Paradise Cave and then Phong Nha on dragon boat, traveling as a solo woman who is deaf and hard of hearing Our guide was above and beyond spectacular. I worried about whether or not I would enjoy the guided tour due to not hearing the guide but his English was quite good. My auto-captioning app that I used (Apple live transcribe on my iPhone) was really good at picking up what he was saying.

The Paradise Cave part is a self-guided tour. We had 1h20m to walk around by ourselves.

On the dragonboat tour, I was able to leave my hearing aid in the entire time as there is very minimal splashing except with the other boats get close to you (just cover your ears!)

The guide also wore my Resound mini-mic which helped a lot! I had a sprained ankle that I got before the tour and he checked in on me frequently. He is also great at taking photos and knows how to frame the shot to make you look good and also get the background beauty.

In Phong Nha, they have photographers that you can pay to follow you around and take photos of you. My guide was able to facilitate translation to ensure that I got the photos, and gave me his WhatsApp number, just in case. He then followed up with me several days after the tour ended to check if I got my photos. Overall I had an amazing time and would happily recommend this tour to others, including solo female travelers and those who are Deaf/HoH.

Paradise Cave was breathtaking, the entire path is a board walk to maintain the beauty of the rocks which are well lit. The path is about a kilometer into the cave allowing the crowd to spread out and take photos. It was eerily quiet in certain spots but beautiful. The jungle path to reach the cave was also breathtaking but an easy climb (only a slight elevation all the way up). Phong Nha cave was also beautiful and it was interesting to take a boat that far into a cave. The tour guides and driver were awesome and accommodating. The lunch was great as well. Remember to bring tip money for the rower of your boat and your guides! (Rower tip about 10,000-50,000VND and tour guide about 100,000-150,000VND; rower $0.50 to $2.50 CND and guide $5 to $7.50 CND).

The four of us were picked up directly from the hotel. Our guide "Choclat" was great! She explained and told us everything in a good way. She did a perfect job of telling us things but also letting us explore some of the things ourselves. The driver was also very nice and always friendly! We had a lovely day and can only recommend the BC Family Tours agency ✌🏼

The caves were neat, but that’s about it. You’re with a large group and the guide isn’t particularly informative.

Paradise cave is beautiful and quite large, so even though there were many other tourists, there was still space to yourself.

Dark cave was anticlimactic. The area around dark cave and zip lining was very clearly optimized to get as many tourists through as quickly as possible. Great if you’re a backpacker in your early twenties I guess but truly nothing special. We walked to the end of a cave, there was mud in it, the guide waited a few minutes for us to just rub mud on ourselves and then we walked out. No information, no history, no enthusiasm from the guide.

Pretty well organized and seamless transportation though.

It shouldn't at this point, but nature surprises us with these wonderful natural works of art that leave you breathless. Very well organized from start to finish. The food included, very good. The boat ride to Phong Nha, beautiful. The guide was very attentive and gave great detail, or so it seemed to me. It's a shame I wasn't a good language student. In my opinion, better? Impossible!!! Thank you so much

This was a nice and well organized tour. The caves (Paradise and Phong Nha) are really beautiful. Riding the boat in to Phong Nha was a special experience. There were nice vegetarian options provided for lunch. I enjoyed our guide (who took the time to answer questions and to take pictures for us) and would recommend this tour.

Tour guide is very knowledgeable and excellent at her job.

However this is an overpriced tour compared to other similar tours we have done in other parts of Vietnam. We were asked to tip the boat driver due to low wages - we paid almost £100 for two people and there were 11 people so for almost £550 being made the boat driver should not be relying on tips...

Making our reservation through TripAdvisor/Viator was seamless and quick. We were picked up as promised and the day went pretty much as scheduled.

We started with a walking tour of Paradise Cave. From the parking lot, it is about a 1.6km (1 mile) walk up the mountain to the mouth of the cave. There are golf carts available but we weren’t offered them ….although stated in the tour ad, this was fine by me, and the ability to get close to the flora of the jungle by walking was actually a bonus! Perhaps a lack of drivers meant we’d have to wait and delay our schedule…We rode from the exit to the parking lot because most people were tired by then. Along the ride down, we saw people walking down the path we had walked up earlier, and as everyone has different physical capabilities, it might have been nice for some to have the option of riding. Overall, it required some exertion to maintain the schedule, which (according to my Garmin watch) was 30 stories up and 22 stories down, on overall stable footing. I’m sure this will become more standardized as international travellers return; Vietnam has only reopened to visitors about six months ago, so it will take time to ramp up the tourist industry.

Lunch was delicious and our guide, Victor, was funny and knowledgeable about the history. After lunch we were handed off to another group for Phong Nha cave.

The mini buses were clean and comfortable and our drivers were skilled in the ways of navigating Viet traffic…not for the faint of heart ;-)

The caves were spectacular, as expected. A couple tips: be very mindful about where and how you are stepping along the rock and wooden pathways, and consider your footwear choice. We wore flip flops, which is fine as there is no rock climbing, just stairs. Be aware that water is dripping inside and some of the walkways are wet, so flip flops can be treacherous on such surfaces.

The age of the caves is determined by the size of the stalactites/stalagmite present, which grow an average of 1.5mm/year; these caves are hundreds of millions years old. Some of the formations inside these caves are enormous!

We were fortunate to be able to get our dragon boat inside the Phong Nha cave to be dropped off at the pier inside the cave; the water level has been high due to it being the wet season and most boats are docking at the pier/steps outside the mouth of the cave.

Please don’t litter or touch the formations. There are lots of garbage receptacles and signs asking not to touch, yet there’s still garbage and obvious damage from humans. Sad.

While our tour was more or less full, there is evidence of a much busier time so, if the caves are on your bucket list and crowds are not, then now is the time to come to central Vietnam!

        Highly recommended!
