- 1With naturally primitive features, Paradise Cave looks like a landscape painting; making it a natural wonder that many have enjoyed since its opening in 2010. According to spelunkers (cave explorers), the deeper one journeys into the cave, the more one feels the wells of heavenly clarity all around. The cave can reach up to 72 m high and up to 150 m wide. There are a series of white crystal stalactites (limestone deposits) resembling natural pillars and many other spectacular formations. Paradise Cave (Hang Thien Duong) was discovered by scientists of the British Caving Research Association in 2005. It has a length of 31.4 km, and is the longest dry cave in Asia.

- dallasb5480 contributionsUnderwhelmingI was quite underwhelmed with this tour- especially for the price. The guides weren’t great, we finished up at Dark cave quickly and waited around doing nothing for an hour and a half then went and had lunch then onto Phong Nha cave. Definitely not worth the money. I have been in several amazing tours here for much cheaper.Written 19 July 2024
- V7578DSleahh0 contributionsGreat experience so much fun!Brilliant experience! Do nor bother paying for a guided tour just turn up and pay 450 dong that includes a tour guide through the cave, mud bath, swimming, zip-lining & Kayaking. The guide and experience was well worth the money and really good fun. It’s 30 minute on a motorbike from Phong Nha. Highly recommendWritten 27 February 2024
- lorcanh5290 contributionsTop tier fun filled adventure dayThis was an absolutely incredible day. We booked the Dark Cave tour but the way they run the tours is you do one in the morning and a second in the afternoon. We were also given the choice to change the caves we went to if we wanted so it was all super casual and easygoing which was great. As it was raining in the morning we did Paradise Cave then and in the afternoon some did dark cave and some did phong nha cave as these involve more outdoor adventure elements so was good to have the dry weather. As others reviewers have said you need to bring a towel and swimmers for the dark cave tour. It’s so much fun and full of variety, doing the zip line towards the cave entrance, then you swim there and swim through the cave, then you trek through the cave for the mud bath, and then return and kayak back to the start. For those who weren’t strong swimmers there was a paddle board to sit on for the swimming sections. The food at lunchtime was amazing and had a meat and a vegetarian platter. Our guide Victor was excellent, super friendly and lots to point out on our way to the caves. Overall just a fantastic day I can’t recommend it enough.Written 29 October 2023
- _tn3390 contributionsFabulous trip, fun day tourFabulous trip made even better by our wonderful guides. A couple of things to mention. 1. Paradise cave ( we did in the morning). Mainly steps and boardwalk so trainers or we’ll fitting sandals are best. 2. Dark cave (we did in afternoon) - footwear is strictly barefoot - no exceptions. 3. Swimsuit is permitted as long as it doesn’t have sleeves/legs/skirt. 4. Take your oldest swimsuit- not sure if mine has permanently changed colour! 5. They sell plastic camera covers near to where you get changed - they are in a glass case in front of the desk - wish we had seen these. That’s it. Absolutely highly recommend this trip, great fun thanks to our guides and our fellow cavers.Written 23 August 2023
- Son21060 contributionsAmazing, definitely worth itThis is a good tour, the cages are breath taking and the tour guides are very friendly and helpful. I do wish however that more information was available on TripAdvisor. If you weigh more than 90 kgs you cannot participate in the zipline activities. Also, you need to pack swimmers, a change of clothes and a towel. We did dark cave first which has the mud bath and a lot of swimming activities.. you require to dry yourself and get changed prior to heading to paradise cave. Also, if it's wet weather, you will need a rain coat. Apart from not having all the information available, the tour is definitely worth doing! Do yourself a favour and explore this amazing national park.Written 22 August 2023
- Jenny2810020 contributionsBest ever Vietnam Tour , Super nice caveThis tour would’ve been excellent on it’s own but our tour guide Sy made the experience even better. His english is great and he was able to answer questions we had about the country and share detailed stories about his time living here. The two caves we visited were both very different from each other and both very interesting in their own ways. The dark cave was my personal favourite because there were more activities to do, such as zip lines, mud baths and swimming. There is no way to not get wet in this cave, you don’t have to swim but you do walk through water up to your waist. Once again our tour guide Sy sets this tour apart from the other tours. He even took time our of his day after the tour was done to drive us to the train station and help translate with the station workers and help us buy our train tickets and then drive us back to our hotel. The quality of your guide does make a difference on this tour so whether you are old or young this tour will guarantee you have an enjoyable time.Written 22 August 2023
- Eztli H0 contributionsGreat places to seeThe dark cave was amazing but definitely be mindful that you should DEFINITELY wear water shoes because there’s jagged rocks you go through and most of us cut it stumped our feet. Also, may be tough tour for people 55 and up because it’s slippery and you have to climb over a boulder. I brought my 60, 69, and 70 year old family members and it was tough for them. Also, bring a change of clothes for after the dark cave because you will have a locker. The food was really good and there were so many fun activities to do at dark cave, but if older you may not find as fun, such as slide, relay race, zip line, and kayak. In regards to the tour guide, he was friendly, patient, and took our pictures. We struggled to understand him a lot and he only gave brief information at beginning of dark cave and everything else was direction of where to go. Also, would have been useful for him to provide info about swim shoes, the lockers, and kayaking being done on own at dark cave open area. The bus and van were very comfortable.Written 1 May 2023

- Thu Uyen P0 contributionsBeautiful caves, service was goodOur tour guide Thang was a funny guy and very informative. He was very on time when picking us up. There's an old couple (70 n 80 yo) on the trip with us and they were taken care of well. Paradise and Dark Caves are definitely worth visiting and all the activities in and outside Dark Cave were fun for a day. My phone is not water proof so can't take any footage in Dark Cave. Nice weather in March.Written 11 March 2023
- Amelia C0 contributionsBeautiful caves, let down by the itinerary. We had quite a mixed experience with this particular excursion. A Our guide Yuen was absolutely brilliant, she had incredible knowledge and was thoroughly engaging throughout our time en route to and at the Paradise Caves, we can’t fault her in any way. However, the duration of the tour was meant to be 10 hours, and door to door it came to around 7 hours. It seemed that we spent more time in the van than on the tour itself! There was no indication before booking that we would only be doing 1km inside the Paradise Caves. The caves of course are a thing of beauty, but it was a very short experience for us. We then progressed to the Dark Cave which I’d definitely recommend as an experience. The zip line, swim and mud bath are great fun. Our guide there, we did not catch his name, was not particularly engaging and didn’t tell us anything about the cave formation or history. However, upon reflection, we would suggest that you stay in Phong Nha if possible and just take a bike or Grab straight there and book directly rather than going as part of a tour. The lunch before the Dark Cave was quite good, not the best we’ve had but it was certainly plentiful. Overall it was a good experience, but overpriced for what we got particularly in terms of time spent at the caves and as mentioned before, the itinerary was not detailed enough to make sure you are getting exactly what you’re looking for.Written 16 February 2023

This was my first time visiting Phong Nha cave with my family. When we got there, we got on a small boat where they toured us inside the cave. Their rules and policies were very strict. They only allowed a limit of ten people on the boat. If your family has more than ten people in a group, then the extra people must share another boat with someone else. The cave was very dark. The cave was very similar to Dong Thien Duong cave. I would prefer Dong Thien Duong's cave because you can walk inside the cave, and it is much cooler than Phong Nha's cave. We did not get on land to take a walk around Phong Nha cave because we had already seen Dong Thien Duong cave before we got here.

We really enjoyed our tour to see Paradise cave and Phong Nha cave. Our guide Tuyen was excellent! She was very funny, knowledgeable about the area and the caves and spoke great English. We had plenty of time to really explore both caves and soak them in. Everything was well organised and communication was good before and during the tour.

My partner and I had a very pleasant experience touring the Phong Nha caves with our tour guide. I'm not sure how you spell his name, but our tour guide's name was pronounced "Hi." He was very polite, friendly, even funny, and spoke great English. He led the day by always managing expectations of what was coming up next, how much time we had at each part, and always gave us fun facts about what we were seeing. He clearly was very knowledgeable on the cave system. Would highly recommend for anyone considering this tour!

Our guide, Pink, was very informative and helpful. I don't know how she kept track of us all!! The excursion itself was incredible. Both the caves and the lunch were just amazing. We went in July, so the heat was almost too much, but that's our fault 😅 Would definitely recommend. One of the highlights of our Vietnam trip!!

Tuyen was our tour guide, and she was amazing, friendly and informative. There was a lot of organization required, especially in a group of 10-15 people. Transpiration was provided from your accommodation to Phong Nha Park. Lunch provided by locals was really fantastic, and it was great to try the local cuisine. Both caves were quite different but unique. The Paradise Cave was pretty interested, and comprised 1km of walking, it was fascinating to observing the stalactite formations. Interestingly; it is the longest dry cave in Asia. The 2nd Phong Nha Cave involved driving and a boat tour into the cave, which tourists can explore 1.2km of via boat, the stalactite formations are also fascinating and multi-colored, with interesting shapes.

One of the best days in our Viet Nam trip. Both caves are absolutely something to see in your lifetime! The tour gives you enough time to really explore the caves without being rushed. Our guide Duyen provided information but left us a lot of time to explore on our own which is really what you want to do in these gigantic beautiful caves.

That was a mazing day. Really a winderful unfirgetable awesome experience on the Dark cave, so excited! Bring swimwear as they don’t allow clothes for the mud bath. The Phonga Cave was very big, they take you by boat so the view is always great! Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable on everything, we found everything she said so interesting and even helped take photos for anyone

The caves are awesome and really something I have never seen before! It is definitely worth to visit them!!
However it is written that it is a tour which in my opinion was not. It was a transportation service from A to B but it was not a tour where the guide walks you through the caves and tell you some stories or details. So we were walking around alone in the cave (no worries you cannot get lost) but my expectation was that it is a tour. Otherwise it might be even cheaper to hire a driver and go from A to B by yourself.
So the caves 5/5 (or even more - must see!h

I love the atmosphere at Phong Nha cave. This is my first time sitting on a boat to contemplate such a world heritage. The tour guide was thoughtful, intelligent and humorous. The tour was punctual and well-organized. Definitely recommend the tour to my other friends.

5 stars! I had a wonderful experience on this excursion, which included tours of Paradise Cave & Phong Nha Cave, a boat ride, a delicious lunch, and plenty of water to stay hydrated on a hot July day. As promised, the caves and the river are gorgeous. My tour guide Duyen ("Chocolate") was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating, especially given that I have a neuromuscular condition that affects my mobility and makes me take a little longer to navigate stairs. I appreciate her willingness to answer my curiosity questions and her restaurant recommendation for Dong Hoi. The braised fish and fresh vegetables I ate did not disappoint!
I'm not sure I could find a better use of $65 USD. I also truly enjoyed meeting other travelers on this tour.
