About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 829gracent0 contributionsHelicopter and glacier landingBeautiful views!! We had an excellent time and the glacier landing was the highlight of our trip. Definitely recommend doing this!Written 14 March 2025
- AilsaF9720 contributionsMagnificent MountainsThis was the highlight of our New Zealand trip, a fantastic experience. Firstly we were impressed by how they rearranged our trip to a different day because clouds meant limited visibility, it would have been easier for them to send us on a trip with less visibility. When we went visibility was excellent and landing on the glacier high up in the mountains was such a treat, excellent pilot who made us feel so looked after. Outstanding.Written 10 March 2025
- jwhatley950 contributionsHighlight of our trip!!This experience was one of the highlights of our trip! Our pilot Mark was informative, fun and professional. He made a nervous passenger (myself) feel very safe and comfortable. Highly recommend!Written 1 March 2025
- Tim W0 contributionsA must do experience with a very professional company and pilotUnbelievable experience with great views and commentary by Mark the pilot. The 10 minutes landing high up on the glacier was a bonus experience, incredible views and total silence. Easy to book and you are welcome upon arrival, so a very easy experience. Highly recommend both Inflite and the 55 minute tour.Written 11 February 2025
- 499bridgetw0 contributionsAmazing views of GlacierHelicopter ride was amazing. The aerial views of the glacier and surrounding mountains were breathtaking, and the flight was smooth and informative. A must do rideWritten 10 February 2025
- hailinht20150 contributionsA changed itineraryWe initially booked the 45-minute Glacier Tour, but was informed 3 hours before the flight that the wind was too strong that day for such a flight. However, the operator offered to change to a 25-minute flight to a closer mountain top, with a partial refund, which we took. All in all, I’m glad to take it. The children were thrilled with the experience. The view from the helicopter was fantastic. The new landing area had enough snow for the kids to play. We had a very good view down the valley and the ice river. The pilots were very experienced and friendly.Written 1 February 2025
- Tour453845558550 contributions“Overpriced and Overcrowded – A Disappointing Helicopter Ride״We booked a 45-minute family helicopter ride, expecting an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately, due to weather conditions (which, of course, are beyond the company’s control), the flight was canceled. As a replacement, we were offered a shortened 25-minute flight, and despite the initial disappointment, we decided to go ahead with it. The experience itself was very disappointing. The seating was cramped, and I was placed in the middle seat on the back bench, where the view was practically non-existent. It completely ruined the purpose of a helicopter ride – the amazing sights. The whole operation felt entirely industrial – there was no sense of uniqueness or premium service, which we had expected given the exorbitant price we paid. The overall attitude felt cold and impersonal, like a factory churning out flights with no regard for customer experience. In summary, what was supposed to be a highlight of our family trip turned into a major letdown. With such a high price tag, we expected a level of service and quality to match – but it was far from it. Definitely not recommended.Written 28 January 2025
- Z1520QBtonyl0 contributionsNot all passengers has the same viewThis helicopter tour accommodates six passengers in a two-row configuration, with the pilot in the front left. While the pilot expertly hovered at each point of interest to allow for photos, the viewing experience was highly uneven. Passengers seated in the front row or the left-most seat enjoyed spectacular, unobstructed views. Unfortunately, those seated elsewhere had to contend with obstructed views, looking over the shoulders of other passengers. The helicopter was not rotated to offer all passengers a direct view of each scene, which significantly diminished the experience for those not in the prime seats. This lack of consideration for all passengers' viewing angles greatly reduced the value of the tour.Written 6 January 2025
- 469abhilashj0 contributionsThe best. Period.Me and my partner took a deep breath, mustered all our courage, and YES—we conquered the 13,000-foot jump! 🎉🎉 Sure, we had our sights on 16K, but hey, the weather had other plans. 🌧️ No biggie though, because the crew? ABSOLUTE LEGENDS! 🙌 They broke everything down so perfectly, over and over, that by the time we jumped, it felt like second nature (well, almost 😉). And let me tell you, if you’re in NZ and dreaming of a skydive, THIS is the place to do it. 🌏✨ The views of Mt. Cook? Beyond epic. Go for it—you won’t regret it! 🪂💥Written 4 January 2025
- Daniel F0 contributionsBest birthday gift idea!My wife’s birthday fell over her honeymoon and I surprised her (a day before so she knew how to prepare) with skydiving. It was both of our first times and it was a blast!! They had to adjust our height due to clouds, but they reimbursed us for the height we actually fell from. I want to give our guides specific credit, but I can’t recall their names. They were both great! The video was definitely worth it.Written 28 December 2024
- Freedom661490673170 contributionsBAD service and be ready to spilt upOur family of 4 booked the 45min alpine flight with the hotel the day before. We were told to be picked up at 345pm, time provided by the heli staff at infinite. We arrived early and was picked up punctually. When we arrived we were shocked to be told we will be split into 3 in one group and another 1 in another heli. We weren’t told beforehand on this arrangement and the staff just brushed off saying 1) they “understand “ but (just too bad for us)? 2) because we were last to arrive and late. 3) tried to review but the company or TripAdvisor blocked me For (1), they tried to ask the other family to be spilt and I can understand why nobody booking together will want to spilt up. Hence I don’t blame other families nor impose on them. Similarly this is our first flight that we want to take together 2) the time for pickup was dictated by infinite not us, so why were we being blamed? 3) I am unable to load this review so using another mobile. Somehow it seems infinite blocked my review.Written 29 November 2024

- Philippe H0 contributionsDidn’t leave with smile on our facesWe booked the the ultimate alpine experience which takes you (by skiplane) to the Tasman glacier and land you back on the ground by helicopter: Plus: Friendly and competent pilots amazing weather (we got lucky) the landing on Tasman glacier was really cool Minus The experience is supposed to be an ‘ultimate scenic alpine experience, but the flights were clearly overbooked. Not everyone got a window seat, so the flights were certainly a dead fish Ground staff didn’t get further than “we’ll take it up with the higher ups, hope you have a great rest of the day” . Most companies explicitly advertize that everyone gets. window seat, you’re better off booking with one of thoseWritten 2 November 2024
- RoohiC500 contributionsAn adventure dayWe did the Heli hike. Liked pick up from hotel. Staff at check in very friendly and our guide Via was excellent - she really made the whole experience of hiking on the glacier outstanding. Exhilarating views on glacier and helicopterWritten 26 October 2024
- Colleen V0 contributionsBucket List Helicopter Tour over Mount Cook and the GlaciersBucket list activity for sure on the incredible helicopter tour over the glaciers and Mount Cook! Between the wonderful views during the helicopter ride, to the magnificence all around when we landed on the Tasman Glacier, I was in awe of the sheer splendor before me. It was the perfect group size (8), and Roger (our pilot) did a masterful job of flying the craft, minimizing rocking and buffeting where he could, along with providing fabulous commentary on what we were seeing. He also pointed out the Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers, although we couldn’t see them given the low cloud cover. All in all, an incredible experience! I highly recommend this!Written 28 September 2024

We experienced an incredible afternoon combining both plane and helicopter flights to the Tasman Glacier at Mt Cook. The unique dual-aircraft adventure offered two distinct perspectives of New Zealand's largest glacier and surrounding alpine landscape.
The highlight was landing on the glacier itself - a surreal experience standing on ice surrounded by spectacular peaks. Our pilots, Maurice and Mark, were excellent guides who shared fascinating insights about the geography and glacial features throughout the journey.
For anyone visiting Mt Cook, this combination flight offers exceptional value. It's more than just a scenic flight - it's an immersive alpine adventure that provides unique perspectives you simply can't get any other way.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking an unforgettable New Zealand alpine experience.

This was the e highlight of our week long visit to New Zealand! Weather unpredictability means it is a hit or miss with this activity. We were lucky to find a booking the night before our visit to Mt Cook and in fact it turned out to be a beautiful sunny morning. We enjoyed the 45 min tour. The ski plane to go up to Tasman glacier was a thrilling experience and the helicopter on the way down passes within a few hundred feet of Mt Cook. Between the two, coming down in the helicopter was the more enjoyable experience because it is easier to get a view. But the total experience is well worth the money. Very well run and efficient operations and we felt safe. Morris and Mark were our pilots and both were fantastic. Landing on the Tasman pass and spending 15 minutes on the glacier was truly memorable. A must do activity.

This was a truly great flight. We'd booked a flight from Mt Cook airport to view the local peaks, the Tasman glacier, and the Franz Josef and Fox glaciers. However the weather on the west of the Alps was not playing ball, so the flight was changed to one viewing the peaks and landing on the Tasman glacier. We flew out in a chopper, and back in the ski plane. The whole process was managed on the ground by a very friendly and efficient team, and the flight to the glacier was superb. We spent 15 minutes there engulfed in the beautiful views, taking pictures and then boarded the ski plane for the trip back. Another superb flight. I loved the downhill take-off from the glacier! My wife and I had every confidence in the pilots, who both gave us a good amount of information without overwhelming us.
Go do this!

We spent 10 days in Egypt from 3/11 to 13/11 all inclusive. Price of the stay for 2 people €5000. Now I will explain to you why I am angry with the promvacance tour operator. My wife and I decided to go on vacation not far from home and after reading the trip description we opted for Egypt promvacance. 4h10 between Paris and Cairo as mentioned in the program. I go to the Roissy Aeroville Promvacance agency to book this trip. A few days before my departure, I received the travel diary, and then my struggle began by discovering the flight plan... Departure from Paris at 11:55 a.m. and presented 3 hours before for check-in and arrival at 4:10 p.m. in Athens and wait until 11:50 p.m. for arrival in Cairo at 1:50 a.m. on 04/11, not counting the collection of suitcases, visas and transfer to the hotel.. Arrival at 3:30 a.m. knowing that the lift is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. for the departure of the visits at 8:00 a.m.....I So I go to the agency to file a complaint for the flight plan and here is the employee's response... We can't do anything for you and it's up to you to call and send an email at the right time and in any case, he never answers.... And that's the effectiveness of promvacance.... So, I phone and I get the same answer.. I send an email.. 2 and 3,4 and still no news. The date of my departure is approaching and still no answers.. So despite everything, we leave, we didn't want to lose our trip.. So very tired, lunch and dinner costs, the first day of the program at the hotel which comes with a shower and breakfast.. I received news by email on 05/11 and this is what they tell us "regarding your request, although we understand your dissatisfaction, the flight plans are still indicated for information purposes only and are likely to be modified by the company. Under these conditions we cannot intervene to modify this"... Must... In our group, 6 other people have the same problem as us. After having lodged a complaint with their tour operator, all of them had modified flight plans. 4 of them had return flights with completely reasonable stopover times and the other 2 who had booked their trip with a Belgian agency were them direct return flights from Paris to Cairo.. On that note, promvacation to flee.. We have been traveling twice a year for years and have never encountered this kind of incompetence. I wish it on no one.

As someone who tries to do a lot of adventures in NZ, I’ve been put off doing most of the heli and glacier trips as they all seemed really short for the cost.
I am so glad I found this trip. Such good value and so much longer than most in NZ. I actually don’t think I’ve ever used the phrase Bucket List, but I did after this!
I would recommend the sea plane and heli combo as you get 2 amazing experiences in one (thanks for letting me ride up front too!).
From the drive to the airport, the flights themselves, seeing icebergs, learning about the Glacier and experiencing walking on actual deep snow… so many amazing aspects to the experience! Also kudos to the team who welcome you, make you feel at ease and even remembered me and called me by name, which was such a comforting and personable touch to an already great service.
If your trying to decide if you should book it, trust me it’s worth it!

We had booked the ski plane and Heli combo tour but unfortunately the company contacted us the day before to tell us the plane was out of action so we were switched to the same flight path, but helicopter both ways. This didn't seem to detract from the tour as it was absolutely amazing. We have been fortunate to experience a few Heli trips at various scenic points around the world, but this was the most spectacular by far. The pilot was informative and friendly and the views were spectacular. We stayed around 30 minutes on the Glacier before heading back down and we recommend sun cream as we both got a little sunburnt. As one of our fellow passengers said whilst stood in the snow half way up Mt Cook.... "Everybody Should Do This"

This review is for Mount cook ski planes and helicopters by Infinite.
It seems I am unable to send a review of them. This clearly shows their lack of service to block me?
My family of 4 booked the 45min flight yesterday with our hotel for 430pm flight today. We were told to be picked up at 345pm at hotel lobby. We arrived early and was picked up punctually.
Everything went downhill thereafter. We arrived at Mount cook airport and was told my the staff we would be split by 3+1 on another flight. This was not told to us beforehand. The staff blamed us for being the last to arrive but we were picked by the staff at the time stated by them.
When we explained this was our first flight together as a family, they insisted that we will be spilt only on the flight but at the glaciers we will be together. I wonder who takes a flight separately when paid for together. So staff decided to ask another family if they will be willing to be spilt. I don’t blame another family for their unwillingness given that as a family, everyone will love to fly together. The fact that they nonchalantly blamed us for being last to arrive, and then said they “understand “ but the situation made it just too bad for us? If we were told beforehand, we would not book

This flight was the ultimate experience. From the moment we took off to the moment we landed, the smile never left our faces. The pilots were super knowledgeable and took great care of us, we felt so safe and at ease. We would highly recommend this trip, spend the little extra to be able to experience both the helicopter and the ski plane. For us this was such a highlight and one we won’t forget

We booked the flight for 26th Dec but the weather was not good so they provided an option to reschedule our flight to 27th, which is ok for us.
Luckily, the weather on 27th is nice and sunny.
Once we got there, we checked-in with a friendly staff and waited for a while before being brought to an area for security briefing and then moved to outside waiting for boarding.
We got up to the Tasman Glacier by a helicopter and came back down by a ski plane. Our flight include a total of 9 passengers, 3 are us and the other 6 are very nice people from Hong Kong.
We stayed up there for 10-15 mins. Very pleasant experience and get to see the view that hiking tracks won’t get you there.

Reece took us up to Mt Cook via helicopter on a rare calm day on the glacier - the sun was shining and you could hear the glacier cracking as the water ran underneath. Being able to walk around on the glacier was an amazing experience. The trip back to Mt Cook airport was via seaplane with Dan (the legend) who managed a smoother landing than Qantas did into Queenstown when we arrived! 45mins is the perfect amount of time, not too long and not too short, to see everything and truly experience something special that may not be around forever (unfortunately). Definitely worth the expense for this experience - don't miss out! If you can only choose the helicopter or the seaplane, suggest the seaplane as you can definitely see more (and try and get the co-pilot seat for an even better view).

The pick up and drop off mentioned at Aoraki Mount Cook Village, we staying at The Hermitage is it inclusive of the pick up and drop off? Sorry if I got anything wrong on the above as I still figuring the places and activities.
