      What a fantastic adventure!
This was a truly great flight. We'd booked a flight from Mt Cook airport to view the local peaks, the Tasman glacier, and the Franz Josef and Fox glaciers. However the weather on the west of the Alps was not playing ball, so the flight was changed to one viewing the peaks and landing on the Tasman glacier. We flew out in a chopper, and back in the ski plane. The whole process was managed on the ground by a very friendly and efficient team, and the flight to the glacier was superb. We spent 15 minutes there engulfed in the beautiful views, taking pictures and then boarded the ski plane for the trip back. Another superb flight. I loved the downhill take-off from the glacier! My wife and I had every confidence in the pilots, who both gave us a good amount of information without overwhelming us. Go do this!

An experience of a life time
This was the e highlight of our week long visit to New Zealand! Weather unpredictability means it is a hit or miss with this activity. We were lucky to find a booking the night before our visit to Mt Cook and in fact it turned out to be a beautiful sunny morning. We enjoyed the 45 min tour. The ski plane to go up to Tasman glacier was a thrilling experience and the helicopter on the way down passes within a few hundred feet of Mt Cook. Between the two, coming down in the helicopter was the more enjoyable experience because it is easier to get a view. But the total experience is well worth the money. Very well run and efficient operations and we felt safe. Morris and Mark were our pilots and both were fantastic. Landing on the Tasman pass and spending 15 minutes on the glacier was truly memorable. A must do activity.

Mt Cook from the Air. WOW!
Having done a previous helicopter trip to the Mendenhall Glacier, this was a “must-do” trip during our visit to New Zealand. The Mt Cook region is spectacular and the views from the air even more so. Great service and crew, very safety conscious and a wonderful experience beginning to end.

      Just do it!
What great fun! It was exciting in the ski plane; especially landing on the glacier. Then the helicopter ride back was very different but equally exciting. The views from both were great and the pilots very friendly and entertaining. Do it!

Cancelled - but the 25 minute tour was great
Booked, but this tour was cancelled : "Due to the weather conditions on the Glacier, our skiplane pilot has cancelled the flight for safety purposes." We were offered and accepted the 25 minute tour instead, which was great and we were provided with a refund of the difference in price from Tripadvisor - but unfortunately Tripadvisor keeps prompting us for a review of the 45 minute Combo tour which didn't happen. Absolutely unbelievable experience
This sort of trip has been on my bucket list for a while. I missed out on a ski plane trip in Alaska 2 years ago but I wasn’t missing out this time. We left on the ski plane & returned on the chopper & it was sensational. This is a must do experience. You’ll love it.

Fantastic Mt Cook and Glacier Heli Trip with Glacier landing
We opted for the helicopter ride with glacier landing. Our trip was fantastic. Andrew was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the views of the glaciers. We got to spend time on the landing, without being rushed. The weather was great. Highly recommended.

      Lifetime Memories of Helicopter Flight
We booked a heli-hike to enjoy the view of the glacier and mountain ranges at the Mount Cook from a helicopter ride. We managed to witness the beauty of Mount Cook, Tasman Glacier Lake, Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier. We even stopped over at the Tasman Glacier to enjoy views from different perspectives. The pilot was very careful and experienced that we felt safe throughout the flight. The company also could arrange a transport to pick us up from our accommodation at the Mount Village. The check-in process was easy and the safety briefing prior to the flight was clear and useful. We were advised to call/ email the company to double check if the flight was confirmed a day before our tour because the flight could be cancelled due to bad weather to safeguard the safety of the tourists. Thankfully, we were lucky that the weather was good on our booking time slot and we managed to enjoy a wonderful flight. It was one of the best experiences we had during our trip in New Zealand. A wonderful memory that’s lasts of a lifetime!

      Magnificent views
The original scheduled tour was cancelled due to weather condition, but it got rescheduled without issue. Although we didn’t get to be on Ski Plane but on helicopter both way, the scenery is still worth it. Magnificent view from the flight!

      Great experience
We had an amazing experience flying over Aoraki/Mount Cook. The helicopter pilot Mark did a great job of pointing out interesting features and telling us stories. We were lucky that the weather was so clear. Beautiful place and an overall fabulous experience.

Just fascinating seeing the glacier from the air, and the crevices in the snow. Brilliant experience. Expensive, but good value. Creating a wonderful memory - probably would not do it twice. Perhaps the guide could have been more informative when we were on the glacier, but if you asked the questions, he had the answers. Certainly in flight information was very interesting.

By far the highlight of our time at the enchanting Aoraki, Mt Cook National Park. Our pilot Mark was a fountain of knowledge of the area. Very experienced and great pilot who made a magical flight perfect with his expertise. The alpine landing on Tasman Glacier is a must do! A truly amazing place, wonderful welcoming and cheerful staff. We hope to be back one day!!

I did the 25 mins helicopter flight. The helicopter fly like about 5 mins before it made landing on one of the site which I feel that there was nothing much to see there other than playing with the dirty snow on the ground. Honestly I feel disappointed the moment the helicopter made the landing. I immediately regretted that perhaps I should have chosen the longer flying route and obviously it would cost more but I think the scenery would be a lot different from this flight. Due to my time constraints, I could only do the shortest flight. So my advise that if you have seen snow and would like to see more than snow then choose other flight.

After 10-12mins at the landing site. We returned to the helicopter and 6-7 mins later we returned to the starting point.

Kia Ora Patricia, We're sorry to hear that the flight didn't quite meet your expectations. While we don't advertise this product as a snow landing, rather an Alpine landing - there is snow on the ground at the landing site for most of the year. However, during the summer months this snow cannot be guaranteed. If you are looking for year round snow then we highly suggest looking at our Ultimate Alpine Combo which offers year round snow on the ground and gets you to the Tasman Glacier. We hope to have you fly with us again soon!

Great service by all involved. Location has to be best in NZ, I've had the pleasure of flying in some amazing places in NZ but Mt Cook has to be the most spectacular. The landing site was unbelievable! Andrew was great, also pointing out wild Thar to my keen hunting partner.
    We will definitely be back!
    Thanks team! 😀

This was by far one of the most amazing experiences we’ve ever had! We got upgraded to a glacier landing which was unreal and had the most incredible view. We had such an awesome and friendly helicopter pilot as well as friendly staff when checking in.

Huge thanks to the helicopter pilot who filmed our engagement! Such an amazing experience & would recommend this flight to everyone. Thanks so much!

Flight was scheduled for 8.30am on Jan 3rd. I called a few times early on the morning on the flight to check if the flight was still going (as we were staying in Lake Tekapo) but there was no answer so I left a voicemail.

On arrival, the two girls informed me that no flights would be going that day due to the wind. I have no problems with that, safety first, but what really annoyed me was that they did not call earlier to let me know and save me a 90minute drive. They told me they couldn't get through to my phone (which was correct as my Aussie number wasn't working) that's why i left a voicemail with a local mobile number that I could be contacted on.

They told me that they had already rang everyone else booked for that day and that i was the only one they couldn't get through to. That was clearly BS as three groups of 2 arrived while we were there and they were as annoyed as we were for not having received a call.

I'm glad we stayed at Mt. Cook for 3 nights (4 days) because our flight was cancelled and rescheduled twice due to weather. It was first cancelled due to rain, and then the next day, it was cancelled due to high winds. We finally had the flight push through on the day that we checked out of the hotel. The change in the schedule made our trip a little hectic - we didn't really want to be rushed when checking out of the hotel, but we had to to make it in time for the Inflite experience.

We initially booked the heli and ski plane combo, but because it was very icy at the glacier where the combo flight was going, we were offered the option to do the shorter 20 minute helicopter glacier landing and was refunded the difference in the cost. We decided to do it to at least experience a glacier landing.

Despite being a shorter flight, it was still an amazing experience - walking on a glacier is just memorable and special. Being able to fly above, you get to see glacier lakes and views of the mountain that are just so beautiful.

Inflite was very proactive in notifying us through email and text messages, so we knew well in advance that our flight was not happening which gave us time to call, reschedule and change our plans for the day.

If you plan to do any of the glacier flights, be prepared to stay at the Mt. Cook area for at least 3 days and make sure to schedule the glacier flight on the first day of your trip to have the highest possibility of experiencing this.

Luckily we decided to stay overnight in Mt Cook just in case weather was bad on the day we had booked the flight. Luckily we did, because the weather was terrible on the chosen day.
I had phoned the night before as we were 3 hours away and weather was not looking great. I left a message and asked them to please phone if there was to be a cancellation as we would then take our time driving.
Unfortunately there was no phone call and when we arrived at our time, we were told the flight was cancelled. I later discovered an email had been sent but not everyone checks emails or even has wifi on their holidays so a phone call would have been most appreciated. Luckily we were staying overnight in Mt Cook so we changed it to the following day. At first, however, the girl checking us in told us it was booked out for the following day but another girl came to the rescue and ‘found’ a spot...
Next day was blue skies and clear, however the ski plane and heli combos had all been cancelled and we were offered a choice of either ski plane only or heli only. Landing on the glacier was the problem possibly after the weather the day before.
We chose the helicopter and were not disappointed. The pilot was excellent and the views were incredible. It was about 20 minutes quicker than the time we originally booked for, however a refund for the remaining amount was quickly provided without having to be prompted.
Just a couple of further issues at check in with the same girl who couldn’t find a spot for us from the day before (she tried to get us to sit through the safety briefing for the third time 😬) but we were rescued by the same girl who ‘found’ the spot for us. In all fairness though, it was extremely busy that morning and a little chaotic.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we were so grateful that the weather cleared.

It was an absolutely unique adventure! The staff was super friendly and professional and we were very lucky with a total stunner of a day. Getting to stand on New Zealands longest glacier should definitely be on your bucket list and having been able to cross it off mine is just fantastic.
