The tour included many stopping points for photos and an informative commentary along the trip. Our first stop was Tasman Glacier Viewpoint- after climbing many hundreds of steps we got to the top for a spectacular view. The main part of the day was spent on the Hooker Valley track- 10.4 km long. Spectacular views around every corner- lakes, mountains, glaciers. We even got to hear the glacial ice crack and watched as remnants fell down the mountain. The only criticism I would have is the tour allowed 4 hours for the walk- We are seniors and at our pace we needed more time- we would have loved to have more time to relax, experience and take in every ounce of the magnificent mountain scenery.Written 10 March 2025

Top 10 NZ experience! We were in Tekapo for three days, without a car and wanted to get to Mt. Cook, when we discovered Tekapo Shuttle. We emailed and booked with them immediately and had such an incredible time. Taro was our guide for the day, what a super fun, friendly and knowledgeable guy. Our shuttle group had folks from all over the world, and it seemed as though Taro united us all as friends within a few minutes. We even saw some of our group the next day around town, which was such a nice bonus to our travels. Taro provided such helpful and fun commentary during the drive and at the various stops, he knew where the great photo spots were and taught us about local birdlife and plants. 100% recommend this service for a day trip to Mt. Cook. I am so glad we crossed paths on our travels. Five stars, Taro!
