A great way to get to know Santa Fe
We really enjoyed our tour in Santa Fe with Jerard. He was very entertaining and knowledgeable of Santa Fe’s history. I had been reading about the region’s history and Jerard’s knowledge of New Mexico’s past really brought it to life. We liked all the places we visited. The Craft Beer, Cocktails, and food at each place were very nice. Jerard kept in touch with us before the tour and even answered a question I had afterwards. It was a great way to spend the day getting to know Santa Fe. I highly recommend this tour with Jerard.

Best tour and introduction to Santa Fe!
When I signed up for this tour, I expected your normal tour where the guide tells you information about the city, you learn a few interesting facts, and leave. This tour definitely wowed me. This was a wonderful experience i'll never forget. Jerard taught me so much about Santa Fe and its history which made this trip much more meaningful. He makes the trip personable and fun, while showing you how to live like a local! It was also a great cultural experience. You get to enjoy drinks and food on this tour while learning the background of what you may be eating, viewing, or the people around you. This was honestly the best tour i've ever been on and I will be recommending this to anyone who visits. If you are reading this, Book it. You won't regret it!

Santa Fe food and beverage tour
Gerard is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Started with a brief history of NM and Santa Fe. The food and beverage choices at each stop were enjoyed but our group. Good choice when in Santa Fe.

Interesting, easy walkabout, combined with excellent food & drinks, very friendly owner/guide
Jerard is the best. A native of New Mexico, he is a wealth of information about the history of New Mexico. The three spots we stopped at for drinks/food were fabulous. As my husband said, think of it as sitting around a campfire with friends sharing stories; it was a casual and fun experience. Easy walkabout. Highly recommend giving your business to this extremely nice young man and his company.

    Best tour ever!!
Although we have been to Santa Fe many times and taken tours before, this tour was by far the best ever! Thanks to Jerard, we learned more about the Spanish/Mexican history and influence in Santa Fe - Jerard can trace his ancestry back to one of those folks! Each of the 3 restaurants we visited were unique. Not only did we taste different foods, we also enjoyed a beer or cocktail at each location. We particularly enjoyed the cocktail bar where drinks are served in ceramic vessels made by local potters. If you want a tour led by a local man who knows the history of the city, the local restauranteurs and unique hidden gems, this is the tour for you!

Great way to spend an afternoon in Santa Fe!
Great way to spend an afternoon in Santa Fe! We have done a lot of food tours, and this was one of the best! Jerard gives a great overview of the history and culture while you enjoy a variety of local food and drinks. As a bonus, he also gave recommendations for other places to check out in the area. Don’t miss a tour with Jerard and Vigilante Guides on your next trip to Santa Fe!

    Excellent experience, highly recommended
This is an excellent food tour. Jerard was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Santa Fe, and shared many interesting and unique stories. He went above and beyond and took us to delicious local food and drink spots, and even brought us homemade biscochitos. We came to the food tour very hungry and left it very full and happy.

    Santa Fe Railyard Food Tour
My husband and I booked a walking food tour with Vigilante Tours, our guide’s name was Gerard the owner. We truly enjoyed listening to Gerard tell us the history of Santa Fe and how it is now a thriving city with gorgeous adobe architecture all around the historic areas. We learned that Santa Fe is known for its many Art Galleries in town, for its multicultural history, for its artist, chefs and beautiful back drop mountains. At the Rail Yard where me met for out tour they have several festivals and celebrations during the year, they have a farmers market and an arts & crafts markets as well as many places to eat. We stopped at a few local restaurants and bars and we loved all of them. Our favorite food place was Tomasitas Mexican Restaurant where we tried sopapillas which they served with honey and 2 chile sauces, they do not serve the typical Chips and salsa, we loved them. Our favorite cocktail was at As Above , So Below craft local cocktails. We tried a unique drink 🥤 served with beautiful presentation and it tasted delicious. Be sure to stop by at this place you are in for a treat. We also tried local pizza and went to two breweries, all were excellent. We loved chatting with Gerard as he was very knowledgeable of the history and all the amenities Santa Fe has to offer. We recommend his tour company 100%. Tomasitas Mexican Restaurant first

    Great Facts
I went as a part of a group of graduate students from St. John's College. The guide was jovial, personable, fun, and loud when he needed to spread the great facts. I loved learning that the smaller doors around the area were not because the people were tiny, it was because they were more easily defended but that changed when the railroad got there circa 1880 and stronger building material could be brought easily. How cool is that? If you liked that fact, there's plenty more where that came from, and it's this tour.

Don't miss out on this extraordinary food tour!
We had an absolutely delightful experience with our food tour in Santa Fe, guided by Gerrard Vigil. From start to finish, it was a culinary journey through the heart of this vibrant city. Our guide's passion for Santa Fe's food culture was evident in every stop. We tasted a variety of local dishes and breweries, each more delicious than the last, and learned about the history and traditions behind them. The tour was well-paced, allowing us to savor each bite while also soaking in the charm of the city. Gerard was not only knowledgeable about the food but also shared fascinating anecdotes about Santa Fe's rich cultural heritage. It felt like exploring the city with a friend who knew all the best spots. Overall, this food tour was a perfect blend of gastronomy, history, and local insight. Whether you're a visitor or a local looking to rediscover Santa Fe's hidden gems, I highly recommend this tour for an unforgettable experience.

Girard is an excellent tour guide! He is passionate about Santa Fe and the hospitality industry! He has made relationships with many business owners to serve his tour groups and help them experience the best of what Santa Fe has to offer! The food and beverages we sipped and savored were absolutely delicious! Come on this tour hungry, you will definitely go away full as well as more knowledgeable about Santa Fe history! This tour was a highlight on our trip to New Mexico for sure!

This was such a fun and interesting tour. The fact that the tour guide is descended from the original families that settled the area made his story telling even more interesting and authentic! The restaurant choices were excellent and we learned new things about Santa Fe, even though we have been coming here 30+ years! We highly recommend this small group tour!

Outstanding! Gerard’s knowledge of the history of Santa Fe was amazing. First time here and he took us to all the hot spots for history of the city. His knowledge of every area was very interesting and informative. We’ve been on a lot of tours in different parts of the USA and Europe and I have to say he was our best guide ever!!!!

Highly recommend this tour! Went to some really cool and different places in the city that we may have never tried otherwise. Plenty to drink and eat with some uniquely Santa Fe items thrown in. Appreciated that he kept the group engaged throughout. Can't wait to do another tour when we come back next year.

I took this tour with a coworker and it was my favorite part of my time in Santa Fe. The history was interesting and food was great. The cocktails were also nice. If I had to have a complaint I’d say I was disappointed by the food at the second stop. It was dried fruit nuts and cheese. When I do these tours I’m looking for local made food not snacks I can buy at Trader Joes. Jerad was a great guide and closed out the tour with a cookie made by his mom. I would definitely do another tour with vigilante guides.

Our guide, Gerard, was excellent. He has a wealth of knowledge about Santa Fe history, arts, and food. The three stops for food and drink were all fun and delicious choices. The pace was relaxed and a few "icebreaker" activities helped everyone in the group get acquainted. We will definitely reach out to Vigilante Guides when we return to beautiful Santa Fe!
