Your tour begins with pickup from your San Antonio hotel by air-conditioned bus. Then head to the Alamo, the 18th century Spanish mission where David Crockett, William Barrett Travis, and others stood up to the Mexican general Santa Anna during the war for Texas independence in 1836.

Next stop is the Spanish Governor's Palace in downtown San Antonio, built in the 18th century to serve as a home for Spanish governors. Snap photos of this early Spanish mansion before hopping into a riverboat for a scenic cruise down the Paseo Del Rio, or River Walk.

Next, enjoy the sights and tastes of old Mexico at the historic Market Square where you can shop crafts, goods, and foods from south of the border.

You also take a drive through Brackenridge Park and the Japanese Tea Garden, and make a visit to Mission Conception before being delivered back to your San Antonio hotel.

It is one full day packed of sightseeing and history of San Antonio. You get plenty of time to see the attractions and learn the history of the city.

River Walk Boat Tour

Very good way to see the River Walk area - to become somewhat familiarized with the area. Our tour guide/captain Mitch did a great job. One of the best things we did during our stay.

I don't know how much flexibility the tour guide has for the grand tour, as it is an eight hour (approx) tour. We were picked up about 8:30 in the morning and dropped off around 4:30 in the afternoon. Shorter tours allow... More

When we stayed in San Antonio, the tour bus came right to our door to pick us up for their tours. That was in January, 2018. Can't see them being any different now.
