The jump was one of the best experiences of my life, so much so that I'm thinking of doing an AFF course so I can do it on my own. The tandem master Connor was great and the photographer Jono was very friendly and chatty. It definitely helped having them in the plane with me. Also Harry on the front desk very kindly made me a certificate, which I'm very proud of! Would definitely recommend

What an incredible experience in Franz Josef! Our tour group had originally intended to go skydiving elsewhere later in our trip, but due to perfect weather in Franz Josef, we made a spur of the moment decision to do it that day. The entire process from check in to pick up to the safety briefing was efficient & organized. Thanks to all the crew for making our trip super memorable. A special thanks to Connor from Scotland (my jump buddy) for making me feel incredibly safe on my first jump and keeping us entertained on the plane ride up to altitude (arguably the worst part…the wait before the jump). It was such a positive experience that I’m already looking forward to more skydive opportunities in the future. Pro tip: invest in the hand-cam photo package. Great photos of our jumps and the stunning scenery. If you’ve always wanted to try skydiving, give it a go here—you won’t regret it.

We didn't do it because the first day, the weather was not great and the second day, we bailed out after my wife was not well. But still 5 stars for the lovely organisation and it was great to be back here after 9 years and learn that Chris, my tandem master 9 years back has now become the COO. Good Luck Chris and team - just one feedback, bring back the custom of giving a free t-shirt to whoever does the Kea Jump - we got it when we did the 18k which was the highest in 2014.....was sad to learn that it's not the case anymore for those who do the 20k jump these days !!

Can’t begin to describe how amazing this whole experience is! The staff and jump itself are both hands down absolutely amazing. Will give you a rush like no other. Surrounded by amazing scenery, it feels like you are jumping into a painting! The crew are amazing, so professional but great sense of humor and comforting to those who are nervous. Cannot recommend this enough. Will 110% be doing this again at some stage. If you’re not sold on this, trust me, it will be one of the most thrill seeking adrenaline pumping things you do in this breathtaking spot of NZ!!

if You are looking for an exciting and absolutely fascinating and thrilling opportunity to view glaciers and the marvelous landscape around the New Zealand alps, you are definitely doing the right thing to book a 20.000ft skydive. The team of skydive Franz takes good care of you during the whole event, as this is a strongly weather dependent event it is in my opinion completely acceptable to have a 3h timeframe set for your exciting event , eventhough the actual flight and jump just takes about 45minutes. As I believe for most people it will be a once in a lifetime thing I can strongly recommend to book either the combo package (additional camera man jumping and camera of your tandem master) or only the additional camera man to have marvelous photo and video footage afterwards. The quality of the pictures and videos I received was way better than I expected. No shaking video, sharp, brilliant photos - just perfect. Thanks to my tandem master (who’s name I unfortunately forgot because of all the nervousness before the jump) and „my“ cameraman Sancho who really did a great job. The additional good thing about this event is, that you have a very good view on all the glaciers and the landscape during your approx 30min flight bringing you up to 20.000ft and Even this is documented in some pictures and Video and provided to you. If you are looking for excitement paired with professionalism, safety and fun you are definitely making the right decision to book and dive (jump) with skydivefranz.

I recently visited Franz Josef and my friend and I decided to skydive by glaciers/mountains for our first time since all of our previous jumps were near beaches. We were very excited and decided to do the 20,000 foot jump and pay for the external camerman to really capture the beauty and scenery of the experience. This entire situation set me back 500+ USD, but I was fine with it since this experience and footage would be epic and well worth it. Fast forward a few days when I receive my footage and I am mortified and so disappointed with the results. It turns out I literally paid almost 200 dollars for a video of my face flapping in the wind (i could have paid half the money and got that with a handcam). An 85 second jump and the photographer included about 3-4 seconds of the mountains and beautiful landscape...the rest was a view from below me of my face shooting up. My friend who was on the same jump had epic footage. The cameraman would go below her and get footage then go above her and get amazing mountain and landscape views and then do a 360 view around her and include everything. It was beyond clear that i was jipped in this scenario. I decided to email the company since i was so upset and disappointed and really felt i wasted my money on this photographer. My response from the company basically tried to pin it on my body type and weight compared to my friend?? I'm 10-15 pounds more than her and have NEVER had issues with this before as this is my 4th skydive. I was told my video "meets their requirements". They also tried saying it was because my instructor let me pull the chute. Well if they had told me that me being allowed to do this would sacrifice my money i paid for a decent video i obviously would have opted out of that. I am appalled and beyond disappointed that they consider these up to their standards and that they would try to stoop so low as to blame it on my weight. Moral of the story I guess is to not trust this company with your money for an extra photog, or tell your photog and be very very clear to not get 80 seconds of your face with the sky behind it (which i feel like you shouldn't have to do, but clearly im wrong). What an absolute ripoff.

An incredible and unforgettable experience from start to end. The lady who greeted us at the reception desk was extremely friendly and enthusiastic and even though our jump was pushed back due to the weather she didn't make us feel disappointed at al and immediately offered us a slightly later jump. Thankfully the low clouds cleared in time and we were driven to the hanger to wait for our turn. All the staff and dive instructors were amazingly positive and friendly and kept such an excitable vibe going for everyone. Whilst getting equipment fitted and sorted you could tell they were all very thorough and took everything very seriously which made my husband and I feel extremely safe and in good hands. The plane journey up to 20,000ft was obviously very scenic and you could see all over Mount cook national park, Franz Josef Glacier and out to sea on the other side. The jump itself was a once in a life time feeling throughout. I was surprised at how safe I felt which meant I could fully enjoy every second. I would have happily done it all again and again until the sun went down! So glad we jumped with SkyDive Franz and will be recommending to everyone we know!

Heard that Franz Josef has a better view for skydive than Queenstown which is absolutely correct. Drizzling upon arrived in Franz Josef but unable to skydive due to weather condition no good. Went again next day with blessing of good weather. My son did the value price fir 13,000ft and I did for the skydive of 20,000ft. Request for 2 personal photographer but they have only one available. They do have tandem master behind us which makes us fell secured. All the staffs are very friendly and those had a jump from 20k ft will get foc t-shirt. Paid for all the videos and felt worth it as it's a must for once a life time. You get longer time above the air for 20k ft. Will be cold jump from plane but very enjoyable. After the release of parachute, get to glide and have good view. An excellent experience. Assume they are the only company do the skydive.. Do book from them will feeling of assurance and confidence.

It was my first time skydiving, I was very excited, no room for nervousness, until like 2min before jumping, but I was already there, no turning back! lol I have NO regrets, it was the best experience ever, the free fall, the views, the adrenaline when the instructor does acrobacies (if you want to) is incredible! My instructor Callum was really nice and they video turned out great! Thank you all, i'll be back for the highest jump!

What an office! That was beyond the best thing I have ever done! From the check in process with the lovely Lily at the desk, to the time I jumped with the fantastic Henry, I knew I was in safe hands. They made we feel calm and made sure I had the most amazing time, reassuring with every step. Over anything is Franz Josef, this is the thing to do!!!
