We booked through an agency in Nuuk. The trip through the ice fields was amazing. Lasted about 6 hours and the trip was very interesting and completely different than anything you would see anywhere else. The trip is quite pricey, possibly a bit overpriced but I would go again. We were lucky enough to have a fellow from Newfoundland Canada who had worked for a company that harvested icebergs for bottled water and he explained a great deal of what we were seeing as we passed icebergs and navigated between them. I would recommend this tour to anyone. You are not likely to see anything like this again. This is exactly what we came to Greenland to see.

I celebrated my 70th birthday by taking a 'Catch and Eat' trip. It was a really great and memorable day. The fishing was very easy and we got plenty of help from the crew. We sailed on to the restaurant at Qooqqut Nuan where the fish was prepared by first class staff. I highly recommend these trips if you are visiting Nuuk and want to experience the wild Greenland nature. Just one hours sailing out of port and you feel you are entering the wilderness. Highly recommended, good service, professional crew, good value for money. AAA+

We took a tour using Nuuk Water taxi booked via Princess Cruises excursions. The tour itself was amazing allowing us to coming close enough to icebergs where we were allowed to touch one. The only problem I had was in leaving the boat. It was a big awkward step with no one to assist anyone. I fell and then was given assistance to get up but be aware of this situation when boarding and disembarking. Nevertheless I do recommend the tour.

We took this glacier fjord trip and it did not disappoint . The captain and attendant were attentive, answering all questions, providing background about what we were seeing.

Enjoyed both group tour - Whale safari, Qooqqut Catch & eat. Group was small 13 - 15 people. We had lovely time, crews were very friendly & helpful. Inside the boat was heated, comfortable sittings, provide coffee, tea, cookies. We have seen whales & enjoyed the whole trip. Catch & eat experience was amazing. Everyone caught lots of fishes (red fish, cod), going to another island & having lunch in a remote area was amazing! The way they prepared fishes was delicious. Loved the whole experience. I recommend Nuuk water taxi.

The Captain of the boat and his assistant were just fantastic. Our safety and comfort was their topmost priority and they made sure we were having a good time. We had booked this trip actually as a private cruise to go to the Narsap Sermia Glacier. Unfortunately due to thick close ice, we could not reach the glacier and was a bit disappointing. In any case the trip was simply wonderful with gorgeous views of the mountains, close up views of settlements and waterfalls, nesting eagles and weird and wonderful iceberg formations. Thoroughly enjoyed with hot chocolate/coffee in the boat and the hard work of our two boat handlers.

We were on a Nuuk Water Taxi as part o a cruise ship fjord tour. We boarded the boat just across the road from the cruise port. There were 10 passengers and 2 crew on boat. On the way to and from the fjord you'll get great views of Nuuk from all angles. In the fjord area there were icebergs, waterfalls, a view of a glacier and we also saw a humpback whale. It was a great tour!

Nuuk Water Taxi offers a wide variety of tours and kayak excursions. We took their Catch and Eat tour where they take you on a 1-hour boat ride to Qooqqut Nuan, an excellent restaurant. En route, you stop and fish for your dinner. We caught 8-9 cod in about 20 minutes. It was shockingly easy to catch them. Red fish are also in the area but we didn’t catch any. The restaurant is about a 10- minute walk from their dock. Once we got there we watched a chef clean and process our fish. He told us a lot about fish and the restaurant while working. It was very interesting. Our fish was used for a seafood soup and three entrees with different sauces. Several dishes had a Thai influence as the kitchen workers are originally from Thailand. Everything was excellent. We left Nuuk at 3:15 and returned 8:15. We were supposed to return at 9:15 but we left the restaurant an hour early. This worked out very well as we were ready to go. Had we stuck with the original schedule we would have had to kill the extra hour. The boat captain and his helper, Richard, were both friendly and told us a lot about the area. They also helped us a lot with the fishing. We booked our trip through Guide to Greenland. You can also book direct with Nuuk Water Taxi. The people at Nuuk Water Taxi said it didn’t matter which way you booked. We loved this excursion and highly recommend it.

Fantastic trip seeing the Fjords. Booked thr Fjord Safari and the captain and his crew member were ever so keen in locating and spotting Humpback Whales for us...and we succeeded! The trip was pretty full, but manageable and the captain obviously loves his job as he was enthusiastic in his explanations. The other guests were rather rude but that's nothing to do with Nuuk Water Taxi, but could be aided by more guidance when waiting to board the ship, we were there first in queue, when this woman just barged past and board the ship without an invitation from the Captain to say he was ready for passengers. Another passenger when sailing, blocked the sides and wouldn't let people past either. There are drinks on board, and the views to the Fjords are fantastic. Better to book with Nuuk Water Taxi directly if you can, I booked through a tour operators and found when I arrived at the meet point, I'd paid nearly 300 extra per person so this made me a bit unhappy!

On our first day of Nuuk visit we had a journey to abandoned Kangeq inuit village. Very interesting. Also our fiord adventure was beyond all of my expectations. Simply perfect! Recommend!

I can only say this: choose Nuuk Water Taxi - personelle, service and boats - combined with the most wonderfull surroundings - I can only recommened this company!

Minus 18C and a bit of wind in late feb 2022. The hardened captain turned out to be a wonderfully smiling young female with an equally young female sailor assistant. We left Nuuk for a trip into the Northern fiords, but the two crew decided to let us 6 southern Danish passengers opt for a smoother ride in the south eastern fjord…we got to see real sea ice…….real ice bergs……..real har ocean ice……and a couple of sea eagles on the city stairs . The two crew were wonderfully kind, smiling and knowledgeable on our surroundings and the handling of the enclosed cabin vessel. Could not have asked for a better short trip…..despite the oil alarms from the engine during the wave peaks cresting under the vessel….thanks again.

My final of 3 trips and I loved it as much as the first. Captain Inuk is a real King. I had a real blast with Nuuk Water Taxi and got to explore two different areas to the north and south and appreciate the beautiful fjords. Great staff. What more can you ask for? 5/5
