Overview

Save time trying out restaurants based solely on recommendations only to be disappointed. This Atlanta food tour gives you the lay of the land when it comes to Southern food, and allows you to try 15 different tastings at seven super-popular eateries. Find your favorite spots, and then use your included coupon booklet to save money when you go back for a meal.

What to Expect

Your Atlanta food walking tour meets at Paschal's Restaurant on Northside Drive. Once you link up with your guide and small group, you’ll explore the culinary history and culture of Georgia’s state capital.

This tour, which covers about two miles on foot in roughly 3.5 hours, stops at seven local eateries. Try a range of Southern fare, including soul food, barbecue, Lowcountry, and Creole dishes. Stops may include Smoke Ring, Just Add Honey Tea Company, and Miss D's Pralines. You can also sample an alcoholic beverage.

It’s not just about food. Your guide connects Southern food to the city’s rich history. Learn about the role the city’s restaurants played in the Civil Rights Movement, among other historical tidbits.

Your tour ends at Sweet Auburn Curb Market.

Fun afternoon

Even though I live in Atlanta, I enjoyed the food and the reminder of the history of this part of the city. Nice for out of town guests. Our tour guide, Joy, was a pleasure.
