    What to Expect
After making your own way to Solheimajokull Café, located in the town of Vik, you’ll greet your guide at 11:15am. Following a short drive to the mighty Sólheimajökull Glacier’s base, you’ll get fitted out with crampons and ice picks while listening to a thorough safety briefing.

Then, set out on a climbing and hiking adventure over the glacier’s frozen crevices, caves, and sinkholes. Maneuver yourself on jagged ridges, marvel at unique ice formations, and learn about the geographical creation of the glacier from your guide.

Throughout your 4-hour adventure, you’ll receive personalized attention from your guide in a small group of 10. The experience concludes at your original departure point, Solheimajokull Café.

Hi. You could either hire a car for the day or I think they could arrange transportation. The bus network in Iceland isn't very good so those are your only options, I think, other than perhaps hitchhiking. Cheers, Tony
