What to expect
The day begins with a hotel pickup by air-conditioned mini-coach before you venture to Seattle’s main attractions and landmarks in and around the city. There’s the famous Space Needle (admission included). Bring a camera to capture incredible views of Mt Rainier, the Cascade and Olympic Mountain ranges, Puget Sound and the Seattle skyline. Your knowledgeable and friendly guide will provide commentary on the city as you go. Travel to the Lake Union area, with a number of floating homes, including the one from the movie Sleepless in Seattle. Pass by the University of Washington and find the famous public sculpture called the Fremont Troll. Ballard Locks is one of Seattle's most popular tourist attractions, especially during the warmer months. Then there’s historic Pioneer Square, the birthplace of Seattle and the city's “first neighborhood,” with great restaurants, shops, night life and two pro sports teams. Also visit the Chinatown-International District, also known as ID, one of Seattle’s oldest neighborhoods. Over in Belltown, the city’s most populated neighborhood, is the famous Pike Place Market, one of the oldest public farmers’ markets in the United States. Stop for lunch (own expense) and leisure and spend two hours wandering and welcoming the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of this remarkable nine-acre market. Coffee lovers will want the experience of stopping at the original Starbucks here, too. Feel free to stop and get out at any of the sites or attractions that look especially appealing.

Excellent experience
Jun 2019 • Couples
This was the best way to see Seattle with out running around on your own. The driver was very informative even had flash card to show us how it looked in the passed compared to how it looks now. We had enough time at the pike place to see and eat. It all ends at the space needle. Enjoyed this experience very well. I highly recommend this tour. It seems long but the driver makes it so much fun, that time flies by.

Great way to learn where to go and what to do
Jul 2019
I really enjoyed the Seattle tour. I knew nothing about Seattle so it was a great way to learn about the events, activities, etc. If not for the tour, I would have missed the gum wall!

Lovely scenic tour!!
A pleasant outing. The tour group was very small, which was good. A nice size were your questions can be answered with a 'one on one feeling' to it. We were given some decent opportunities to take some breathtaking pictures. Enjoyable.

Excellent introduction to Seattle
Sep 2019
We thoroughly enjoyed this introductory tour of Seattle. Ken, our tour guide was interesting and informative and mentioned that he had become a guide after a change of career. We saw a lot of the popular locations but also enjoyed the tour to a less well known and grittier area of the city. Ken’s attention to detail and amusing anecdotes kept our attention. This tour is well worth doing to inform and amuse visitors.

Lance is excellent
Oct 2019
Tour Guide Lance is excellent at his job. He is a font of local knowledge.

We had just three couples, which was nice. Because we had such a small group, perhaps we could have been given more time at Pioneer Square. We had about five minutes inside the Glasshouse Studio, then we had to walk quickly to the Klondike in order to use their restrooms, public restrooms which Lance assured us were clean. (They were.) That took the entire 15 minutes, so we had to rush back to the bus. No other stops were rushed.

The tour showed us Pike Street Market, downtown, a working marina, the Fish Ladder at Chittendam Locks, Ballard, lots of architecture, lots of foliage, a real estate tour of Queens-something, some vista points, etc.

As promised, we were given two hours on our own at Pike Street Market. Based on Lance's recommendation (just one of many), Maximillan's sounded good. However, we were seated with my back to the window, at a small two-top. There was little atmosphere. What there was was snooty. Nothing on the menu struck our fancy, so we left and had lunch at Lowell's. It was, for us, a much better option. One couple did dine at Maximillan's. The third couple, like us, were seated, reviewed the menu and left.

As part of the tour, we were given reusable grocery bags and discount coupons, as well as a map of Seattle. We used one of the discount coupons at Confectional. The coupons are nice but would be nicer if more information were provided on each coupon -- What is this for? Something free? Dollars off? What? Which item?

The tour was scheduled for five hours. It may have run longer. We were to be dropped at the Space Needle. Lance gave each of us a pre-paid ticket to the Space Needle. By then, we were ready for a nap, so Lance dropped us at our downtown hotel.

The 'coach' was very comfortable.

There is a sign that says tips are appreciated. That's fine. BUT the sign suggests 10 - 20% of the ticket price. We paid $300 for the two of us. A 20% tip would be another $60. I think that's a VERY BIG tip; after all, a tip is extra income to the Tour Guide, it's not his salary. We tipped 10%, or $30.

I highly recommend this tour. I suggest you do it on your first day. It'l help you decide how you want to spend the remainder of your visit, what places you want to return to, etc.

Lots of riding around on the bus. It was a decent bus - clean, small which was nice. We made about 4 stops?
