    What to Expect
Upon booking, you will receive directions and info such as what to bring with you. The boat tour is located 45 minutes East of New Orleans in Pearl River, LA.  We recommend leaving 1 hour before your scheduled tour time. Transportation is not provided to the boat launch but car rentals from a company like Enterprise are recommended. Uber is also available in both directions, but make sure to order your ride back before the tour ends.

When you arrive there is a truck stop in front where you can use restrooms, get food and drinks, etc...Pull to the back of the parking lot over by the Honey Island Fish House bar. Walk behind the fence, out back where you will meet your captain. Plan to meet him 10 mins before your arranged departure time. Board the flatboat and enjoy the Honey Island Swamp. Children under 16 must wear a life jacket, the boat has 2 kids life jackets, if you are bringing an infant or toddler please bring an appropriately sized life jacket or check with us to confirm we have one available.

The tour will take you through the Honey Island Swamp, stopping at a few locations along the way to learn about alligators, cypress trees and more about the local ecosystems. Keep your eyes peeled for birds like Great Blue Herons, Egrets, Kingfishers, Pileated Woodpeckers, hawks and owls. Along the way, you may also see alligators, snakes, turtles, nutria, wild pigs and other creatures. After 2 hours we will return to the dock and guests will depart.

My friends and I genuinely enjoyed our tour!!. Barret was very friendly and engaging. He also was very knowledgeable about the river, the animals, the people, and even the trees we encountered. Being on the river was very peaceful and I would do it again!
