      Garden District Tour
Wonderful walk through the garden district. Angela did a fabulous job explaining and pointing out the important architectural aspects of the houses. It was so nice to know what you were looking at, I feel like I would have been lost on a self guided tour otherwise so it was definitely worth it.

Excellent way to spend a few hours while visiting New Orleans.
Very much enjoyed the small group architectural walking tour in the Garden District of New Orleans. It was my first visit to the city and Doug was informative with the history of New Orleans, the unique styles of buildings, various personalities that live here and was able to answer all of our varied questions. Tip: make sure to find your guide as there were three tour agencies leaving from the same corner at the same time! The tour company made it easy as communication was clear and prompt.

      Pauline was great.
Pauline did a great job of explaining the architecture but also the history of the district. The research she did with the historic renditions of the building was enlightening.

      Enriching, Enlightening and great guide!
We really enjoyed learning about Judah Benjamin, Touro and seeing the beautiful Woldenberg Park and its Holocaust memorial. Most of all, we had fun with Janet, whose knowledge is deep as is her sense of humor!

      Absolute Must Do!
Fantastic! Our guide, Doug, was informative and very pleasant to spend the time with. He was very knowledgeable about the architecture and has made me so curious to learn more! The homes were beautiful and the the walk was easy. He answered every question that we had and more! I wish we even had more time we could’ve kept going for hours. Thank you, Doug for such a pleasant experience!

Highly recommend Doug and Guy. Great guides. Really insightful and engaging. 💯
Guy and Doug were outstanding guides for my group of about 25 friends in mid-November. We got lucky with fantastic weather, but their combined insights and natural storytelling talents are what made it really memorable. Highly recommend their tours.

      Great tour!
We had a great Jewish History of New Orleans tour with Janet. We were happy that we were able to take the tour despite terrible attack that happened in the city just the day before. Janet gave us the options to either cancel or move the tour, or proceed as scheduled. We were the only couple on the tour. Janet is extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to, and we learned so much about the Jewish history, not just in NO, but in the South in general. We had a nice walk through the city and were able to see a lot. We would highly recommend taking this tour with Janet.

Fascinating and engaging tour of the Marigny neighborhood
Guy was a wonderful tour guild and we appreciated the sincerity with which he explained the cultural history and context surrounding the buildings we were viewing. If we come back to NOLA we will absolutely book one of their other tours. This was our favorite activity of the trip.

Not much Jewishness in New Orleans!!
New Orleans doesn't have much of a Jewish history -- or Jewish population -- so there really wasn't much to see or learn about on this tour. But it was interesting to see the Holocaust Memorial :)

We absolutely loved this tour! Our guide Carlos gave us great insider information and helped us learn about the art and history of the area. It was just enough but not too much: walking, information and history. There were other free tours we found, but this paid tour had professionalism that I don't think we would have gotten elsewhere. 10/10 would recommend!

This tour was amazing! Our guide, Carolyn, was extremely knowledgeable but also very skilled in weaving together the history and people that resulted in the mix of styles we see in the French Quarter. Her stories of women who had shaped the quarter were fascinating and brought a personal perspective. And she had a numerous photos and artifacts to bring the stories to life. Carolyn was great in conveying a ton of information that could be dry in an engaging way. She also took time to point out additional places we should visit during our trip. All in all a great 5+ star experience with Carolyn. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic tour! Our guide, Caroline, was extremely knowledgeable, was very well prepared, great speaking/presentation style. Interesting details about the history and architecture we were seeing. This is the second tour I've taken with this company (other was the Garden District) and would highly recommend!

The tour with Guy was fantastic! He was charming, informative, and immensely knowledgeable. He pointed out so many details about the buildings we passed that I now see the French Quarter in a completely new light. But it’s not just about architecture: it’s about the complex creole history of this amazing city and about its culture, politics, and race relations. Guy kept a good pace and we covered about a mile without any rush or strain. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

We had a wonderful walking tour with Lesley. Over the course of two hours, she brought the neighborhood to life, giving us a deeper understanding of the fascinating history in these city blocks. There was seemingly no detail she left uncovered! Highly recommended.

Suzanne in particular was a wonderful tour guide! She was not only a wealth of knowledge, but catered the tour as we went to things we were interested in. I really appreciated how she wove the history of the city into the story of the architecture we saw. Would recommend to anyone.

The tour was very interesting and the guide was very informative and receptive to our comments and questions. She mentioned different types of buildings and contextualized them in the relevant stages of New Orleans' history. Her addition of highlighting Creole women was a nice addition.

This is a great tour. Guy our tour guide not only gave the history of the architecture of New Orleans which probably could be researched on your own but he added so much more with the beginnings of the city and the people who came here. This is a must see tour with Guy.

A fantastic walking tour through an iconic neighbourhood. Guy has impressive depth and breadth of knowledge - of the history of New Orleans and its present culture and ecology. He is friendly with great presentation skills.
Over a few city blocks he talked us through Spanish, French, Haitian/Caribbean and American influences on architecture and culture. It’s a fascinating way into the overlaid history of the area and it really enriched my experience of being here.
It’s billed as a two hour tour, which is true, but in case that sounds like a slog … the pace is leisurely and Guy stops frequently in spots in the shade and it really was not tiring.
Thanks Guy - a great tour and recommended for anyone who would appreciate an alternative approach to New Orleans history.

Our tour of the French Quarter with Guy was a great way to learn the history of both the local architecture and the city itself. Guy has a wealth of information and always made time for questions after each stop on the tour. I'd definitely recommend it for first time and long time visitors to New Orleans and I'll make a note to take one of the other tours the next time we're in town.

Thank you for choosing NOLA Tours for your French Quarter tour! All of our architecture tours discuss many facets of what makes our architecture look the way it does including climate, culture, type of building materials present, trade routes etc. I am glad that you learned a lot with Guy and hope you will join us on your next visit!
