Itinerary
Meet your guide and group at Tujague's Restaurant, which has been serving Creole classics such as beef brisket with horseradish sauce since 1856. Trace the early history of dining in the Big Easy as you stroll through the atmospheric French Quarter, stopping also at Antoine’s, another of the city’s oldest restaurants.

Learn what sets New Orleans’s cuisine apart from other southern regions, and taste the difference between Creole and Cajun dishes as you dig into samples including red beans and rice, turtle soup, and seafood gumbo. Savor the multicultural influences of Spanish, French, and even Italian flavors on local favorites including shrimp remoulade and a muffuletta sandwich, followed by crisp cannoli and creamy gelato. Finish on a sticky-sweet note with an authentic praline from Laura’s, New Orleans’ original candy shop.

The tour ends at Arnaud's Restaurant.

Probably not worth the cost.

We imagined this having small but delicious portions of unique Creole food and learning the New Orleans food traditions. There was some education but some misinformation as well. For example, we were told Mardi Gras, the King's cake with the baby hidden "were to celebrate...More
