Highlights
  • Explore the more sinister side of the French Quarter on a haunted history tour
  • Visit sites of paranormal activity featured on the Discovery Channel and History Channel
  • Peek inside pubs, hotels, and tea rooms with frequent ghost sightings (if permitted, dependant on local safety restrictions)
  • Tour departs in the evening to maximize the spooky atmosphere
What to expect
  • Your ghostly adventure starts in the evening at the Lighthouse Ticket Office in the French Quarter. Meet your local guide and steel yourself for a walk through the dark recesses of New Orleans’ haunted history. Cross your fingers that you’ll encounter (or not encounter!) a ghost at one of the eerie venues to come.  You’ll first arrive at Jackson Brewery and the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, a spirited 200‐year‐old building that has enjoyed many lives as a theater, ballroom, orphanage and convent. Learn of the confederate soldier, the lonely ghost dancer, and the apparitions of children and nuns that wander the rooms and halls.  Afterwards, continue to O'Flaherty's Pub, said to be haunted by the ghosts of Joseph Wheaton, his wife Mary and his mistress Angelique. Hear the humorous tale of an awkward and endless ghoulish conflict that happens all around the pub. Due to local safety regulations, entrance to the pub is not guaranteed. Between stops, hear other creepy stories — some featured in History Channel and Discovery Channel exposés — including the legend of an octoroon woman named Julie whose spirit waits eternally for her lover at the Bottom of the Cup Tearoom on Royal Street! Your tour returns to the starting point in the French Quarter.

Haunted Tour
Kate did a great job telling us about haunted places in the French Quarter! She is a great storyteller! She answered questions and gave us time to get a drink if needed. We enjoyed the tour!!

If the walls could speak.
Jul 2021 • Solo
Our guide was awesome, she was very informative. I loved the stories. Natives have an amazing experiences and tales to share.
The name of the tour is a bit misleading. Instead of Ghost and Spirits could maybe more like “Legendary Nola” “NOLA Flashback” “Hallucinations of the past” it was more of a history tour which was great to also know.
But I was thinking we were going to actually enter some buildings. Feel out energy. Hear stuff. Maybe see shadows. Just something a little more thrilling suspenseful.

I would give my tour zero stars if it was possible. Our tour was anything BUT a ghost tour. Our guide was so boring, and I wished I could’ve gotten my money back. I don’t remember her name, but she was older, and the tour was Sat July 17 at 5pm. She went on and on about how she knew Anne Rice, but the stories she told were more history and not ghost. It was actually so bad, we left early.
