Overview
Most Savannah ghost tours stick to just basic ghost stories. This Savannah walking tour sets itself apart from others like it by diving into tales of real superstitions of the descendants of African-American slaves, as well as local legends, folklore, and haunted houses that are sure to leave you spooked. Plus, it’s all done by foot during one of the scariest times of the day: nighttime.
What to Expect
This Savannah ghost tour meets at Johnson Square in the Historic District at nighttime. The city seems extra spooky at night under the glow of lamp posts.

Take off from the square for a 90-minute tour. Follow your guide around the city as you stop by haunted houses and other creepy places. Your guide tells you stories to keep you entertained about the city’s unique past, including Gullah traditions and local legends. Hear about Savannah’s colonial past and a ghost or two that still lingers the streets from that time.

Your ghost tour in Savannah ends back at Johnson Square where it started.

I've been on a few ghost tours, this one - not fantastic

This is just MY OPINION but I wasn't thrilled with the tour. I really love hearing about sightings but moreover the history that surrounds why a place is considered haunted. My tour guide, last Friday, was legitimately cheesy. He made the jokes about the cemeteries...More

Fun and informative

This was my second time taking the walking ghost tour and this was very good. Even if you don't believe in ghosts (I don't) this is still fun and informative with some history and bad jokes. Will definitely do this again.

Worth it

Toured with small group, tour guide extremely knowledgeable about Savannah history. Use of pictures added credence to the tour. My two grandsons enjoyed it without being too spooked. Would recommend it

There is a parking garage nearby that is very reasonable and then you don't have to worry about meters.

You probably could, but you would have to cross a lot of busy streets, go up and down a lot of curbs, over some grassy areas and a lot of uneven surfaces. Our guide was great but walked really fast in order to see more... More

Yes I can, can a wheelchair go on the tour? Savannah is now very handicapped friendly except for inside the older homes.
