Overview
Immerse yourself in the history of Philadelphia on this guided, Constitution-focused walking tour (available April through November). In just over an hour, you’ll see an impressive 20 sites including the Declaration House, Betsy Ross House, Liberty Bell Center, Independence Hall, and others. Leave navigation to your guide, who will also tell you about the historical importance of each spot.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and group at the National Constitution Center, where this 1.25-mile (2-kilometer) walking tour begins.
Begin with an overview of the Independence National Historical Park area and why it’s so important to America’s history. From there, in just over an hour, you’ll visit 20 sites that played a major role in the country’s development, such as Franklin Court, Carpenters’ Hall, the Declaration House, the Betsy Ross House, and, of course, the Liberty Bell.
Leave the navigation to your guide, who will provide enlightening commentary about each spot, before returning you to your original departure point. Do note that the tour happens rain or shine, so dress appropriately and bring an umbrella if you’re concerned about the weather.
