Broadway's Backstage Secrets Unveiled for the enthusiasts
The Museum of Broadway offers a fascinating journey through the rich history of New York’s iconic theatre scene, though it may be best suited for enthusiasts. The exhibits are packed with information, featuring detailed boards and stories about individual shows. Costume exhibits are a particular highlight, showcasing the stunning designs that have graced the stage over decades. The museum attempts to recreate a backstage atmosphere, though this can feel slightly claustrophobic for some visitors. Accessibility is a concern; the exhibit starts and ends with staircases, which might be challenging for some visitors. Additionally, all information is only in English, and videos lack closed captions, limiting inclusivity. Overall, it’s a fun and insightful experience, but best suited for true Broadway enthusiasts who appreciate diving deep into theatre history. Casual visitors might find it a bit overwhelming.

    Fabulous Broadway play
WOW! Fantastic Broadway production! A twist on the original Romeo & Juliet tale with modern music from NSync, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, etc. Singing, dancing and acting were top notch. Costumes and sets were A+. Highly recommend this production for a great Broadway play experience.

    Outstanding Performance
We were all captivated by this performance that brought The Outsiders book to life on the stage. The music, talent, scenery and effects were all amazing. We didn’t want it to end.

A Way to Experience a Century of the Broadway Stage
As a fan of Broadway stage over many years, this museum was fun. It's in the middle of the Theater District (right behind Hudson Theater). Layout and displays were great. Free lockers to stash your belongings. Polite and helpful staff. Lots of steps (three floors), though elevator available if you ask (we did). Saw lots of costumes we'd seen over the years worn by stars across a variety of shows. Spent about 90 minutes without rushing. Lots of photo ops. Veterans and Seniors discount (bought tix online w/ timed entry, thought that did not appear to matter).

    Beautiful music
Absolutely loved this. Of course the music was amazing, but the storyline was very good insight into Alicia Keyes life. She had a strong mother and community but her father was very weak, not really ever able to count on him.

    Utterly amazing!
Completely amazing show! All vocalists were brilliant! Staging was breath taking. Barman was rude to couple in front of me because they did not leave a tip, otherwise great night.

It was very well done! The cast done a wonderful job, I would recommend all to see it. I felt the humor was on point considering that her life had a lot of ups and downs. The little girl who played Tina was fabulous and of course the actress that played the adult Tina singing was wonderful.

We bought a last minute ticket for a discount at the TKTS booth. It was definitely the right choice. Love the humour & the entertaining story line with very good vocals from young Anna Mae to the glamorous Tina Turner and Tina’s mother, The grand finale was the culmination and highlight which received a standing ovation from the audience.

While we were in NY we had to see a show and decided on TINA the story of Tina’s rise to stardom. Well the show was fantastic. There was just so much energy on stage the actors/singers were the best I’ve seen. The music was brilliant just like the real thing it was simply the best.

Seen a selection of musicals THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST.
The attention to detail, the music and story of Tina’s life was spot on. Credit to Tina she was brilliant. Yet the show was not sold out, granted covid will play a part but this show is well worth the time during your trip to NYC

This show overcame all our expectations for the energy, fun, outstanding performance of all actors/actresses and musicians, bringing Tina’s sad history and her amazing turn around on her 40’s to shine all over the world. Our show was performed by Marion Davies (?) and she was perfect, we have to remember it is not Tina at the stage. A show not to be missed by those who love Tina and/or great music.

The Tina Turner show on Broadway is amazing. All the cast put their heart and sole into their performances.
The lady who played Tina must be shattered at the end of the night!
The bar bill made our eyes water!! We had 4 drinks to take in with us (2 couples) and 4 drinks for the interval $281.00.

With the new restrictions in NYC with the Omnicron variant, I had to cancel my trip to NYC. Rockettes cancelled and some Tina Show, so no guarantee my performance would continue and too far to travel when 2 of my major events cancelled. So, ultimately I couldn't sell the tickets and lost my money. Ugh!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed “Tina!” The star is phenomenal! She is in literally almost the entire show and every song is high energy. We have seen many Broadway shows over the years and this would be in our top ten. The final songs and ending will blow you away in the singing and choreenergy, set, and acting. Tina transforms herself over the course of the evening - in every way, her voice, eyes, moves, expressions. It’s truly amazing! The entire cast was excellent, especially the young Tina and grandmother.

Overall, enjoyed the Tina Turner on Broadway show. However, I feel the first act was flat, and lacks humor. Second act was better, but didn’t engage the audience, it was not exhilarating. Which is disappointing, as Tina’s music repertoire is very powerful.
