Do the guided tour and museum and don't just walk the area-so much learned from the tour!!
This was one of our favorite two things we did in NYC. Getting a guided tour was absolutely worth it. We learned so much from Alice our tour guide, that we would have never known if we'd just walked around the area by ourselves. The line for the museum wasn't as long as I expected, but in the heat of July having timed tickets was great for the faster entry. Some don't do the museum and just walk around the plaza/area, but the museum is totally worth it. Not to be missed!

Hidden treasures of grand Central Station
Being a local I had heard this was a great tour to take. Took it on a Saturday rainy afternoon. It was so nice to see a different view of Grand Central Station, and learning all the that went into the construction of this building. I’m always running through the station to get to the street! It was really nice to have a moment to hear more about the history of this magnificent building!

      Very impressed
I have used Grand Central Station for years and never took time to learn about the history of the station. It was very informative and was so impressed with the construction and especially the new LIRR station below ground . Our tour guide Rick was great . And loved the check in woman I think Zaza. Very welcoming staff. Highly recommend!!!

      Very Good
The tour was very interesting and the guide clearly knew a lot about the history and stories in both parts of the trip. If there was one criticism it would be that a lot of time was spent hearing this and this reduced the time to see the actual Statue of Liberty and Ellis island museum. A better balance would be good between the two. That being said I would still recommend this informative trip to anyone.

Katie was an incredible guide! Even though the tour was three hours long, it felt like a whirlwind because we saw so much art and had to bypass so many other pieces. The tour gives you a quick glimpse of most of the galleries. Without the tour, we would not have seen one quarter of what we did see simply because of the sheer size of the museum and our unfamiliarity with the pieces. Katie was able to point out the important pieces and explain in simple terms what made each piece so special. I'd highly recommend the tour as a way to get an overview of the museum. Then if you choose, you will know which galleries you'd like to see in more detail on your own time.

Earlier in our trip to NYC, we visited other museums but as they were self-led my two teenagers (15, 13) got nothing out of them. I booked this 2-hr express tour of the MET hoping that the tour guide could bring some of the history and artwork to life. Ryan was absolutely fantastic and did just that for the entire group (all of whom were adults except for my teens). His sophisticated knowledge of Ancient Egypt, Greece, the Renaissance and Impressionism (amongst others) was delivered in a modest, enthusiastic, interesting and witty manner. Highly recommend this tour.

I’ve been to the Met before but wanted to try a tour this time. Katie was our guide. We had 15 people on the tour but Katie made it feel intimate and welcoming. She covered a lot in the 2 hour tour we signed up for, but it didn’t feel rushed at all. She even offered to extend it a bit if we wanted to go on. Katie shared the history of each piece which was very interesting and often humorous! Would recommend to history buffs for sure!

Ryan was an excellent guide who managed to hold the attention of all our family of 5 (children 12 to 18 ) for the duration of the tour. The 3 hours went quickly as Ryan entertained us with very interesting anecdotes and facts about the wonders of the museum . This tour was a highlight of our trip to New York!

Our tour guide was Phil from Walks. He was passionate and knowledgeable about art. I enjoyed learning about the different pieces of art. He did walk at a great pace. I found myself having to dodge through people to keep up with him.

Initially, we had arrived to the museum and met our group in the main lobby of the Metropolitan Museum. At 1:55, we told our guide Phil that we were headed to the bathroom but he told us that the tour was leaving promptly at 2:00 and that the bathroom was the first stop. Our guide Phil discouraged us from going to the bathroom. The tour ended up leaving at 2:04 so we would have had plenty of time to go to the bathroom.
Once our group got into the museum, our group stopped briefly at the bathroom. The women’s line was long but the men’s line was short. My husband David went into the men’s restroom.
Our guide Phil said he knew of another bathroom that he could take us to that would have a shorter line. Then we headed to another bathroom. I did mention to the guide that David was not with us. Phil said to tell him we were in the Egyptian area. I sent a picture to David of where we were at. He could not find us. Then our guide Phil said to tell David we were going to the Frank Lloyd room next. I sent a picture of the room to David and the location on a map. Still David was unable to find us. This continued for an hour and unfortunately, David was unable to find us. He ended up walking around the museum by himself which was frustrating. The Metropolitan Museum is the fifth largest museum in the world so it is difficult to find anyone since David was not familiar with the museum.
I took three other tours while in New York. All the other guides were attentive stopping constantly to count making sure the whole group was together before continuing on.

Kevin was an amazing tour guide!! He was so knowledgeable about everything and taught us so much in just two hours. He shared interesting and insightful details about several pieces and we were still able to visit so many of the highlights of he vast museum. I left feeling I had just taken an art appreciation class. He was friendly, courteous, and even had some funny jokes along the way.

Kevin is just a fantastic guide. He is extremely knowledgeable in art and art history which comes from both independent study and his profession. He asked though provoking questions and we enjoyed the ongoing conversation about the art very much. In addition, he has a great sense of humor which is always appreciated - definitely not dry and dull. We would highly recommend Kevin to anyone interested in a great tour of the MET.

Our guide, Katie, was amazing. She had wonderful little stories about the exhibits, the artists, and the museum. She was both funny and sensitive - you could tell she truly loves what she does, and she's great at it! Be aware that there are not a lot of opportunities to sit. I'm in my seventies and this was the extended tour. Katie was always on the lookout for an empty bench so some of us could sit while she gave us her insight on particular rooms or pieces. The tour was both educational and fun and I would definitely recommend it if you have the time.

Our guide was Soooooooooooo amazing and I am super sad I am forgetting her name but we did the 3hr guided tour on 1/21 starting at 11am. So maybe that tells you who she is. She was engaging, funny, respectful, thought provoking and so much more - in her sharing and style. It was also like we received 3hrs of a motivational speaker but in the most authentic, pure, vulnerable and beautiful way. I (age 57) was there with my mom (age 82). This young lady was truly one of the highlights of our mother/daughter trip. She literally brought us to tears twice during the tour (in a beautiful way). It is actually quite hard to capture our experience with words. So all I can say is your company is very lucky to have her!!! And we are extremely grateful we got to spend 3hrs of our trip with her.

The MET was even more huge and overwhelming than I had expected, so it was great to have Kevin, a well-educated art historian, take charge and lead our small group directly from place to place. He provided the context for each piece of art, and explained why and how each was significant or special, drawing our attention to details I might never have noticed otherwise. I really appreciated Kevin's patience and professionalism, and would definitely recommend his tours.
