1st part great the rest sucked.
Nov 2019 • Couples
The Statue of liberty & Ellis island tour guide was outstanding. The directions for the rest of the tour were terrible. I was lead to believe that it was all going to be conducted by 1 tour guide. That was not the case. It was sold as 1 solid tour but I got a confusing mess. There was absolutely no support due to the tour being conducted on a Sunday. The amount of frustration and anxiety created by this misrepresentation was immeasurable.

A very memorable day
We used Walks to visit the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, a tour of 9/11 sites and memorial and the One World Tower observatory. It was brilliant done.
Our guide for The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island (apologies I have forgotten her name) was excellent. Very knowledgeable, helpful and a pleasure to be with. We also got to go up plinth of the Statue
Rachel, who was our guide for afternoon 9/11 tour was equally good. Her passion to tell the story and explain the events really helped make the experience.
It was a full day out, but worth it.

Awesome tour

We are so glad we chose Take Walks for our tour of Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and
911 Memorial. The guides were very informative and everything was so organized. It may seem like a long day but we were able to see everything we wanted and even managed to stay downtown for a great dinner at Eataly in the One World Trade Center to cap off our day. I'm very glad to have been able to leave all the details to Walks and just enjoy the day.

This tour was such an enjoyable, fun and extremely worthwhile experience! Colin was our tour guide and he is definitely one of the best tour guides we've ever had! Not only was he very knowledgable, he had a fun personality which made the tour entertaining and engaging. The tour was very well organised and we were never bored throughout the tour. The tour was super interesting and we learnt so, so much! Colin was also very helpful answering any questions that we had and was always more than happy to take amazing photos for us! One of the best experiences we had while on holidays in New York - highly recommended!

What a fantastic day we had in New York City thanks to Walks! Seeing the Satue of Liberty was on my bucket list and getting so close to it was amazing. The tour was perfectly organised and our guide was really nice, friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us so much interesting info about Ellis Island as well which was the second part of this tour. The only downside is not at all up to Walks: the security controls ... quite long and time consuming but that's the way it is for popular attractions.
The second tour of 9/11 in the afternoon was also very interesting. All the anecdotes given by Katherine were super interesting and having her take on how she lived that terrible day made us realise the atrocity of it. The museum is incredibly moving as well and concludes the day perfectly. Thanks a lot for that perfect day!

Our tour guide Gerry was absolutely fabulous. No one should miss out on this tour if you are in NYC. I was so pleased that it included Ellis Island as well as the Lower Manhattan tour which included so much wonderful information about the area. The 9/11 Museum and Memorial are so poignant and heartfelt.
