Overview

It would take days to see Central Park and its 840 acres (340 hectares) on foot. Instead, enjoy more of the park in less time on this leisurely bike tour. A guide provides live commentary as you pedal past famous landmarks including Jackie Onassis Reservoir and John Lennon memorial at Strawberry Fields, plus lesser-known spots. Multiple tour times work around your schedule.

What to Expect

Your Central Park bike tour begins at your choice of a morning or afternoon departure time. Once outfitted with a bike and helmet, follow the guide onto a scenic path that circles the park.

Ride past landmarks such as Sheep Meadow, Jackie Onassis Reservoir, and Belvedere Castle. After passing the former residence of John Lennon, pause to take in the “Imagine” memorial mosaic at Strawberry Fields.

The guide also takes you to lesser-known points of interest that even locals may not know about, such as Shakespeare Garden and the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theater. Throughout the ride, the guide provides live commentary through a speaker so that you don’t miss a word of the tour.

Enjoy the trip back to Central Park South, where you say goodbye to your guide. Now that you have the lay of the land, return to your favorite landmarks or explore further on your own.
