      Wonderful tour and commentary
Wonderful tour with a great commentary on all the sites we saw. The boat was spacious with many places to see the sites and the staff were lovely. Would highly recommend (even in winter).

Bad experience as we went late
We booked tickets for boston historic sight seeing Cruise. Unfortunately because of traffic we were late by half hour and we missed the cruise . I asked the lady if she can transfer the ticket to the next available timing. She said if we had purchased at the counter she would certainly change but as it was booked by the third party vendor , we have to call them(trip advisor). Bad thing is we called them but as the pickup time already crossed, they have a rule not to cancel or refund or change the ticket to the next available timing . Good thing is the cost was little less than the original ticket when booked through trip advisor.

      Great Guide
Our guide literally knew everything there was to know about the North End. She was amazing! She was close to the people in the neighborhood.

Quite unprofessional in committing wrong to the customers. They could had been more transparent.
It was one of the worst experiences in my complete US trip. We were cheated by either Boston Whale watching cruise or by Civitas. The event was called off due to medical emergency for one of the passengers, we just touched the whale watching spot and without having to see anything we had to return in order to get medical attention for the person in need. At the time of disembarking the cruise we were told we will be given 100% refund which has paid as 50% only. This was totally unprofessional.

Great way to see the coastline from Boston to Salem. Beautiful. The captain even narrated. The air was crisp and the ride was mostly smooth.

      Poor booking system
Their booking system was down and their website wouldn’t accept non-US based viisitors. There was no way of paying at all so we couldn’t go and it ruined our morning

      An Amazing adventure.
We saw 25-30 humpback whales. It was an amazing adventure. They were all around us. Excellent experience and probably a once in a life time experience.

      Unflexible to re-book my reservation
I lost my trip in the morning and Viator Ltd. was unable to re-book me for later on, having the boat plenty of seats. All the cruise company employees were very kind and comprehensive.

Beautiful views to was a bit short and the narrative didn't point out all the sites advertised. The view from the top deck was the best.

Amazing day on the water enjoying humpback whales!
Was in town for a conference for my husband and booked this tour as one of three excursions. I wasn't sure what to expect given the early November timeframe but simply had the best time ever. It was about a little over an hour to get out to our spot (Jeffrey's Ledge) and once out there I ventured outside and our guide saw whales almost immediately. Throughout the course of our time there, we had 3 humpback whales with us nearly the entire time. We didn't get to see much of their tails but that meant that they didn't dive down super deep therefore we got to see a ton of them. At one point a harbor seal even swam by with the whales right behind him. I enjoyed a beverage on the way out, a small bite and beverage on the way back and had an absolutely lovely time throughout. The staff was super knowledgeable throughout, came around to ask if anyone had questions, etc. Would highly recommend

I was overjoyed with this unexpected adventure!!
I was in Boston for a work weekend & was able to get one day to go play in Boston. My friend originally had planned for us to go to the Aquarium, but, it was sold out. I was due to arrive at the airport at 5pm, so we were on a strict time schedule.
Since we were at the Harbor, my friend treated me to this amazing experience.
In NO WAY was I prepared for this outing!! Lol
For those of you who plan on going, bring a towel and a change of clothes with you. Leave personal belongings in the trunk of your car & do not wear anything that will get ruined by water.
So…while waiting in line, a staff member handed me a free plastic poncho and stated gleefully, it was & does what it is worth. I found this hilarious & if it were not for me having to jump on a plane, I would have just NOT worn the poncho for the full experience!!
They do inform, that the closer you sit to the front, the drier you will stay. We were in the middle of the line, so we ended up in the middle of the boat.
Before walking down the ramp, a photographer is there to snap a quick photo of you.
Classic rock was jamming on the speakers as we made our way to our seats (the staff member handed me an extra poncho to wrap my purse & gifts in to). When everyone was seated, the very cheerful tour guide introduced herself (I am so sorry I cannot remember her name) & very quickly went over the legal disclaimer. I found her to be quite delightful and very funny!!
Capt. Pat then fired up the engines, allowed a tour boat to pull in, then we were off & waving at everyone who wished they were on the boat with us!! The 1st leg is at idle, & the tour guide gave a history of the harbor & the story of the Cod. Once we were past the green buoy…the real adventure and fun begins. The power of the motor pitches the front up, and we were off cutting through the waves seamlessly. A few turns here & there, then when Cpt. Pat’s sees a wake, he B lines towards it pitching the boat in to a turn, and then the waterworks!!! We were drenched!! A large spray of water covered us.
So much for staying dry for my flight. I should have known I was going to be drenched when I saw the Capt at the dock was soaked (and he sits high above in the boat).
Sometime in the middle, the Cpt spins us in to a “stall” and the tour guide gives more info before setting off for more fun.
Overall, fantastic experience & worth every minute. I was dropped off at the airport telling anyone who would listen of my adventure.

It was fun to zip up the harbor and back and great to see the city from the water. The boat was in motion 95% of the time with only 5% talking which Yessica brought with both humour and fun facts. We didn't take a poncho and was glad we didn't because they just whipped around in the wind.

We didn't want to commit to a long tour of Boston and would definitely recommend if you want a fun ride without the history lesson. Shout to Captain Pat who expertly maneuvered the Codzilla with all of the other boats in the harbour on a beautiful sunny day.

We purchased our tickets directly from the ticket office which was more affordable than booking online. The boat left and returned in exactly 60 minutes.

It was a fun and exciting trip blended in with some humor, fresh air and your choice of anywhere between soaking wet and not wet at all. (Seats towards back get very wet and seats towards x front not at all). Ride feels very safe and generated smiles on everyone’s faces. .

It was not really thrilling and the captain must have had a false idea that just getting people soaking wet is a thrill in itself. Complete sadist and it was a waste of my time . They also promised life jackets in the description on trip advisor but nothing such was given to any of the apropos onboard . Yessica who was the tour guide made inappropriate jokes about little children which were really tacky and immature . Not my piece of pie really could have been better if they knew what they’re doing as it was not my first rodeo on a high speed boat and only this one was this bad

The Codzilla Boat was really fun… we had some laughs, got splashed and had a nice boat ride. I just can’t seem to justify the cost. It was over $300 for 5 of us… and I think it was overpriced for what it was… but I suppose supply and demand? Overall, it was fun. The family enjoyed it… but not worth the cost for me.

We purchased tickets yesterday which were way more expensive than I expected $128.10 for one adult and 2 children for 4pm ride. I’m any case I’m confused as online it says total should have been $99. The ride was not what I experienced when I visited Boston years ago and I am dissatisfied with the cost and not the best experience. The ride seemed shorter than the time it should have been as we were the last ride of the day. I was going for more turns and ups and downs but not much of that occurred. I would love to talk with someone regarding a refund or discount for the overpriced less than expected experience.

I have been going on the Codzilla every summer for many years. Last weekend was the worst experience I've ever had. It used to be so much fun with loud music, narration, and getting wet. This experience had none of the above. Zero music upon boarding, zero narration or story line, and the hair pin turns were almost non existent. I got off the boat bone dry and was EXTREMELY disappointed. Needless to say I will not be keeping up with this tradition.

Had SO much fun on Codzilla! We were on the fence but ending up having a great time & our guide Jinx (not sure on spelling!) was AWESOME - she made it so fun & had amazing energy. Definitely recommend & you get a chance to take some awesome pictures of Boston on the way back in when the boat is in the no wake zone and you’re free to move around.

It's okay. Yes, we went very fast, yest we got wet (back left on the rail for a good wet time), but that's about it. You can't hear the music, there aren't as many turns and spins as expected. It was fun. But not a scary ride.
Plus, you have to arrive 30 minutes before your ticket time and then you just bake in the sun standing in line until the boat returns and off loads. Ugh.

My family and I recently traveled to Boston on vacation. We were looking for things that were fun for kids, but enjoyable for adults as well.

There were some not-so-great reviews for Codzilla, but we thought we’d give it a try anyway.

Boy, were we happy we did! We had a blast!!!! The guide was cheesy but funny, the captain was entertaining, and the ride was awesome. We got SOAKED!!!!

The only thing I would say is to wear flip flops and a bathing suit. We didn’t have enough time to change before the boat ride and we all got soaked, even with the ponchos they provided. And bring something waterproof to hold your important items like phones or car keys.

    So so fun!!!!
