Small Group Muir Woods and Wine Country Tour
From US$124.00
Overview
A day trip to Muir Woods, home to California’s towering redwood trees, is a great way to escape the city and reconnect with nature. Save hours of time waiting for an admission ticket and a parking space on this Muir Woods and Sonoma wine country tour from San Francisco. Plus, a small group limited to 13 means you’ll receive personalized attention from your guide, and morning hotel pickup assures a stress-free experience.
What to Expect

Following morning pickup from your San Francisco hotel, you’ll board an air-conditioned bus destined for Muir Woods, home to some of the tallest trees on earth.

On arrival, disembark the bus without any of the hassle involved with parking, and bypass the long line at the ticket booth. Stroll through the green hills of Marin to reach Muir Woods, characterized by its enormous old-growth redwood trees. With luck, you’ll spot native wildlife such as owls, spot deer, and blue herons.

The next part of the tour takes you to Sonoma, where you’ll visit three wineries to sample chardonnay, cabernet, and other world-famous varietals. Following a break for lunch near Sonoma Square (own expense), you’ll continue to the final winery to taste two more wines.

After a photo stop at the Golden Gate Bridge, you’ll return to your starting point in San Francisco.

Fun San Fran day trip

Just took this tour with Vlad. Very knowledgeable, very informative, a bit too talkative, but overall we had a great tour. This tour gives you just the right amount of time at each stop. A great day, great experience. We were very happy

What an amazing experience. Paul our guide for the day was super knowledgeable about the history and culture of San Francisco. Would absolutely recommend this trip to my friends. It was an experience we will never forget.

Nature then boozing!

Brian was awesome. We had a great time. We were promptly picked up at the Argonaut Hotel and introduced to the fellow tour mates. Muir Woods was a nice hike through the giant redwoods. I have never been wine tasting before but the wineries were...More

There are pre-set paths for several miles. It's really as far as you think you can go and return in the allotted time. You are on your own to explore. There is also a gift shop at the trail head so you may want to plan a few... More
