San Francisco Movie Sights City Tour
From US$49.00

Explore San Francisco’s cinematic history with an actor for a guide on this tour of the city’s role in over 50 movies. This tour is designed for movie buffs who will get an inside look at where dozens of classic and recent movies were filmed. See the scenes of high-speed car chases, dramatic ocean rescues, and nostalgic TV homes.

What to Expect

Meet your guide at Fisherman’s Wharf and start your comprehensive tour of San Francisco’s film history. Watch classic movie clips as you go, and match the sights to the films they appeared in.

View Lombard Street “the crookedest street in the world” on your way to North Beach, pass by St. Peter and Paul Church and Washington Square seen in Dirty Harry, drive through the financial district and Nobb Hill, which made cameos in Vertigo, Bullitt, The Wedding Planner, and The Rock.

Next, stop at Alamo Square to see the Painted Ladies, and think back to the opening scene from Full House. Continue on to Golden Gate Park and relive the epic chase scene from Bullitt.

Next see views of Alcatraz, the Palace of Fine Arts, and the Golden Gate Bridge, before arriving in Pacific Heights where Mrs. Doubtfire was filmed. The tour ends at the original departure point.

Past Merging with the Present

A wonderful opportunity to hear the background tidbits of movies made in SF, and to see the past merging with the present. Brian did a great job driving especially when you turn a corner at the same time as it's happening on screen, and Marie...More

I do not believe there is a price difference for a disabled adult. There are 4 locations where you get out of their van and walk to a location. Will you be able to do this? Under the GG Bridge, overlooking SF and the... More
